Ukraine took a break from dropping grenades on underfed mobiks, to do something else worthwhile with all the drones we are crowdfunding for.
You won't see the Russian "army" doing this.
Case in point. "ITS A TANK"
Russia is straight up shook. That is why they blew the dam under their control, i.e. to slow down the offensive.

hater thinks Russia wouldn't do bad things to its own citizens.
A quick bit of analysis:
Russia is straight up panicking about the counteroffensive, which still hasn't really begun.
UKR is obviously probing in a lot of places, and the raid in Bilhorod is not going to be the last incursion into Russia in the North. They will keep raiding and plinking away forcing RUS to move troops out of other areas of the front to cover their border.
I think the decision to blow the dam by RUS was part of that panic. It was given quickly, and the fact that Russian troops on the south banks of that river paid the price wasn't really considered in that calculation. I find this hilarious.
One consequence of the probes is that RUS is using their artillery more in response. Ukraine, for its part appears to be doing some solid counter-battery fire. RUS losses for artillery pieces reported by UKR ministry of defense are double to quintuple the daily averages from the previous months.
All of this is "shaping" for that counteroffensive. Force RUS to redeploy, force RUS to reveal where their artillery is, and force RUS to react in ways that reveal capabilities.
I think the Bahkmut area counter attacks are perfect examples of this. RUS has invested so much PR capital in crowing about this, they feel compelled to move troops there to counter the limited gains UKR is making.
One thing to bear in mind:
For every battlefield casualty, there is some amount of "maintenance" casualties, i.e. normal wear and tear on equipment. RUS has been wearing the out of its equipment and especially its artillery tubes. Even if the Chinese are supplying ammo, those tubes have got to be nearing their usable limits in many, if not most cases.
Western aid, although slow in coming, has included the logistical tail needed to support what is in the field. I do not think that the Russian "army" can come close to matching that in any way shape or form. The endemic corruption that the RUS military is subjected to up and down the chain of command would seem to severely limit maintenance efforts at all levels, at all points.
What those western weapons lack in quan y, they more than make up for in quality and support. The western logistics are being tested as UKR is using their tubes a LOT, with many batteries firing more rounds than the US expended in its entire Iraq or Afghanistan wars according to some expert accounts I have read.
I think we have probably over-hyped UKRs offensive capability a bit, and this may be intentional to get the RUS to panic a bit and make more, and worse, mistakes. "do not interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake".
I suspect UKR will do well in its offensive when it does kick off in earnest. They have been building up reserves for that for quite some time, and not wasting troops as RUS has done.
keep slurping.
Why do you simp for genocidal mass murderers?
Yeah, saw that. Just "wow" levels of stupidity and cruelty.
No war
3-5 days
Won’t take roads
Kherson won’t be taken
Marines same as Air Force
hole country educated hater is batting 0.000
No doesnt work that way.
The battles are happening in the north far from the dam.
Why would Russia bomb a dam downstream far away from the "offensive" to stop this offensive
The dam was not even UPSTREAM for christsakes
Why not wait until thousands of Ukies crossed the river then blow the dam?
Come on now
hater tries to ignore thousands of years of Russian history
Chimp folds
Hater assuming the military that packed parade uniforms, but not extra fuel trucks, for a "three day" war is too competent to up royally.

Yes or no.
Remember, hater swore up and down it wouldn't happen at all, and that US saying it would was preposterous propaganda.
All his posting here since has been one long, pathetic meltdown. He makes himself look worse and worse.
