It's a ring, Everyone had the same chance. You can bet any team that won in the bubble was going to count that ring.

this kid is one of the worst players in the summer league and he got a contract... Literally everyone on the LAL summer league roster is better than him.

There is a veritable load of "does not belong in the NBA."

We've enough talent for perhaps HALF the teams in the NBA. And no more. Thus rendering "LeBron continues to devalue the elite and professional brand of basketball" null & void.

Only "daddy" and daddy (blooded one) remains then, yes? Daddy will do ANYTHING to lift "Bronny" wherever he dwells. Black or White that's America, Cho. It's in the blood.

It's only summer league but Lebron's kid is so out of his depth, I can't even bring myself to poke fun at his play. It's like making fun of a re .

That kid Lakers took at 17th though, Knecht, he looks nice.

He don't need that money, his daddy is a multi-billionaire.

When your allowance is a million dollars a week or something, you don't walk out there and play (AKA get your ass handed to you) with NBA players on national TV for the next year for a pittance. He's making the Lakers far more money than they'll ever pay him, or what his daddy will

But, that's (his) guaranteed contract...livin' HIS dream in real time. Is he NBA caliber? No. Neither is half that NBA rank & file.

And he seems like a genuine kid, behaves himself, isn't an armed crack-head with a FELONY conviction in his mid-50's. tee, hee.

Therein lies the scam. For 2nd rounder pay that dont even match his allowance, they let him ride on the team plane like when he was a little boy and act like he's one of the big kids now while making 10x the money on jersey sales and tv ratings. He didn't earn that spot, and everyone knows it. He might be a good dude but that has nothing to do with letting yourself be made a show of like this. Scam city dude

Never thought of it this way. I never understood why the lakers signed bronny, thinking it was purely to appease Lebron. Good point lakers is getting a ton of money out of this.

Just like 1/2 the NBA rank & file...only this kid doesn't have to hold onto the daily per diem hand out (for dear life for when said contract runs out) and their father ain't Bronny's father who keeps an eye on this, his child, as all father's should.

This kid was born under a lucky star to a Black man who did not abandon his family, but stayed anchored. It's a rarity in America, Black OR White.

You're so full a your eyes are turnin' brown.

They signed him because his father walked in there and a year later tied the Celtics at 17. He didn't have to speak, just peered over his readers at a Buss.

Horse . Don't say something like (this)(Never thought of it this way.) It's beneath you for Christ sake. You all over my Saturday morning with it. I'm goin' back to couch. I'm having a bowl of Cocoa Crispies and then back to sleep.

he's a grown up. Should have finished college and find another job, outside of basketball, where he could have been good at... Instead, he decided to be a clown.

Why are you so offended by it? Lakers got paid, Lebron got what he wants. It’s win win. The only loser is bronny, who still got paid $8m. Well, the other loser is the guy who got cut who should be on the team, I guess.

Because you said (that). I'm embarrassed for ya.

I ain't offended by LeBron getting this. Nor his son getting preferred treatment. They owed James that for garnering that 17th and the tie with Boston. Like I said half the NBA is populated by non-NBA caliber players. Too many teams, not enough qualified players.

His son is well insulated by a father who seems to know what he is doing. That rare in this country, rich, or un-rich. Keep an eye on him though, make sure he doesn't get with the drugs. That never ends. I got sons in their late 30's , early 40's. They know what would happen if they touch drugs, any drug. We thought the middle one was involved at 25. Came to dinner and instead we ambushed him and took him to a testing center. The attendant gave him a cup sent him to the can. "Wait a in' minute." Said I. "I'll go with him." I, I held the cup. I, I brought it back out and handed it over. Thank Christ, it came back negative.

It never ends with your children. Ever.

Yes, Bronny's salary is covered by the increased revenue he will bring. People cannot turn away from a dumpster fire. However it does cheapen even more the concept of compe ion there. They either buy rings or they buy views through gimmicks. Imagine calling yourself a fan of that.
