You know I might have to give you this one. After reading some articles about Carlson's embracing of the great replacement theory (and he's far from alone) I'm left with the sickening realization that there may not be many of us mainstream conservatives left. I don't consider Tucker Carlson mainstream but that may be more of a function of what I wish more than what is true.
where there is a string violence explicitly motivated by particular beliefs, it is appropriate to give that a hard look. people here do that all the time when there is an islamist terror attack. in those cases, its perfectly appropriate to look at fundamentalist islam and say that there is a problem with it. but here? no, we must not blame the motivations.

Is your motive to lower violence today, this year or long term? Labeling reality a conspiracy is worse for the long term. If you want me to feel comfortable about my family & heritage being replaced then you'll need to illustrate why beyond - you'll have great takeout food. Stopping all debate on grounds of this is hateful racism is how you increase violence in the long term.

Also, IIRC a bunch of Portland and Seattle lefties got arrested last summer for street fights, setting on fire and throwing at cops. Not sure where DMC's "they wouldn't get arrested" pout comes from. They did get arrested.
