I don't know, but I'll smoke a bowl that day to the guy that was there and helping orchestrate while we watched 5 'chips get crowned in our lifetime to some lowly, little known, or cared about city with zero star power and little desire of anyone who would want to go to a central Texas city that still smells like a rodeo and just came through while the Lakers were plowing through the NBA for much of that time.

It’s funny that you were trying for some sort of diss track, but only highlighted the fact that he’s almost 500 losses behind Wilkins, but only a handful of wins. He’s almost 400 losses behind Nelson, too. Thanks for showing that.

It's almost like if you coach for a very long time, you are going to rack up both wins and losses.

3rd in wins, 16th in losses....I'll take it.

A good NBA record is 50-32. That's a playoff team. But you coach enough seasons and the 32 losses add up. If a coach had a 50-32 record every year for 20 years, he'd be at 640. But how many teams would hire a coach that could get you 50 wins every season? I'm sure you would coach at least 20 years in the NBA with that success, even if it wasn't for the same team.

As Tricycle noted the Ws and Ls came at a somewhat similar rate as Pat Rileys. No coach has or will go 50 wins for 25 straight years.
Riley having Kream, Magic and the refs.
Pop having a generational ping pong ball fall correctly as Duncan.

If Pop can continue his 50 loss seasons for 8 more years he could catch Lenny Wilkens.

Pops .662 Regular season is certainly up there, 11th place. More like 6th place if you take out the 1-2 season coaches.
Pop was higher up but he keeps dropping.

Larry Bird 4th All Time at .687. Jebus is there anything Bird couldn't do basketballwise?

Playoffs Pop is 13th at .599.
Sadly both reg and playoffs are dropping.

Bird did have a talented team, but man his confidence was contagious. It's a shame that he decided to be a GM. I enjoyed seeing players adopt his arrogance, even if they couldn't completely pull it off.

Thought Reggie Miller shot them out of a chance with his Kobme type ball hogging. Otherwise Indy had great team ball going in reflecting Birds game.
Refs also most def screwed Indy in the Finals.
