watched in slow mo...the guy took like 4 steps
I remember a few years ago fans and ex-NBA players were saying Harden's step back move is traveling violation. When you take a couple of mini steps on the step back, it's a travel. Fast forward to today's NBA and everyone is using similar step back or side step move. And refs don't call traveling.
I mean check this vid out...how is this not a travel??
I feel this has drastically reduced the difficulty of creating separation and given too much advantage to the offensive player.

I don't like it, but by how the rule is enforced, I don't think it was a travel, because you're allowed two steps after the gather. it's the same way players get an extra free two steps on layup and dunk attempts especially on fast breaks, by simply delaying the gather. same for a lot of euro steps
Skill levels of todays nba, players have miraculously genetically mutated to be some super humans, yesterdays nba players too stupid to take advantage of future rules, etc …
lol
Reggie traveled a lot on his catch and shoot plays, no call
Jordan and Iverson regularly got away with travelling carrying palming
lol remember det time when a single unathletic big man in the paint would instantly make an entire opposing offense struggle to score?
yesterdays nba
Between the ty shooting guards and the aforementioned white stiff big men you had human mistakes who were just there to fill roster spots
3 dudes standing at the 3point line motion less. Exciting.
kinda like 4 players forming "triangles" around Mike as he played 1on1 all game long
This tbh
90s ball was terrible
Iverson was a huge offender.
