Just found out I got my omicron booster too after getting the results from the PCR test I took yesterday. Honestly felt like cedar pollen allergies and only reason I got tested was because I knew cedar pollen had been really low for the last couple of weeks so that couldn't be it. Sinuses still kind of congested but my throat soreness has gone down a lot from peaking a couple of days ago.
    Congrats, bro.

I think I mentioned my negative rapid test from Monday. Supposed to hear back on the other in about 30 minutes.

Negative rapid test generally means not covid in my experience, tbh. My mom's still testing positive even after having gotten over it almost a month ago.

    100%.

IDK if it’s lingering effects of COVID (if I had it) or what, but I’m getting burnt out on everything. Movies, TV shows, music, sports. Nothing seems very interesting anymore.

Idk. I hope they tell me I have it. So it would explain why I feel so off. They were supposed to call me at 4:45. Still waiting.

congrats, you've got a bad cold... rhinovirus, non-wuhan coronavirus, etc. Or the flu. Did you get flu tested too?

No. Didn’t get flu tested. I’m sure I had COVID. The day where I had no nasal congestion and couldn’t taste or smell confirmed it for me. And the fact my wife tested positive. Plus the fatigue and brain fog. I’ll probably get an antibody test this week. Although I’m really doubting the accuracy of any of the tests.

Yeah. But I didn’t get the test until about a week after the loss of smell day. But I still feel off.

It was weird, I started getting this brain fog last Sunday when I was at HEB walking the deli meat area and couldn't remember what the I wanted to buy before oh yeah, I wanted some black forest ham to make sandwiches. Though lol I must have COVID. Then the next day started actually feeling symptomatic and really did have it.

I can’t tell if you’re ing with me. I’m assuming not. But yeah…everything is taking longer to figure out. When I was at work last week, I was trying to find a file that I always work with and I couldn’t work through the folders to get to it. I ended up just doing a search. And was like…”oh yeah”.

Nah I was being serious. Though I was jokingly thinking 'must have COVID' on Sunday when I forgot I was getting black forest.

Got ya. It’s funny that now anytime I hear, “was at HEB”, it’s the start of a joke.

It wasn't funny 10 years ago with Kawhi or 11 years ago with George Hill. It never was.

Update...these last few weeks were a total . Out of the blue, I started having massive anxiety and insomnia. Barely ate. Couldn't watch any thing on TV because whatever it was would increase the anxiety. Pretty much just put on The Office and King of the Hill as background noise. Did a bunch of crosswords to keep my mind busy. Didn't get on the internet at all really. Literally, everything would send my close to a panic attack. Got a prescription for some meds but barely took them because I got anxious just about taking them.

Thought I was going crazy. Finally feeling more normal. Still have some anxiety from time to time but it's really subdued. Whereas before, it was every waking hour. Also finally getting about 5-6 hours of sleep per night and getting better.

Yesterday, I found out that my co-worker's sister had the exact same symptoms. All the way down to not watching TV.

From what I"m learning, all the above are starting to be recognized as actual COVID symptoms.

From what I've discovered from personal experience, don't take milk thistle to clean out your liver until you've been covid free for at least a couple months. You need to keep the medicines in your system to fight off the last of the residual covid for as long as possible even though it's not particularly good for your liver long term to keep those medicines in there.

My heart goes out to you SfS. No COVID here, but I fully understand panic attacks. Had them since I was 7 years old, but hid them from my parents my entire childhood because I didn't understand what was happening. I've had long periods of their absence, but they always return. What works for me is walking them off. I recall sneaking down in our basement as a child and walking them off, back and forth across that basement floor till they released. Or, telling mom and dad I was going for a regular walk and then pacing back and forth in front of the house. I've walked all over metro Phoenix with this, and so relieved when it finally burns out.

    You are not alone, S.

Influenza hits suddenly. You feel fine then bam you're sick as . People usually remember with good detail exactly when & what they were doing when they suddenly felt sick. That's why Drs will ask "when did you start feeling sick?", if it's "I was driving to work at 7:45 am and..." it's probably influenza.
