Herb Jones isn't talked about with the likes of Mobley, Cunningham, or Wagner, but is quietly having a very good rookie season and surprisingly leads all rookies in Fivethirtyeight.com's WAR stat: https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com...layer-ratings/
Very interesting player, who is 6'7"+ with a 7' wingspan and shooting 37% from three, 83.5% on FTs, and 54% on 2pt shots.

There's a good argument for him being the best defensive rookie and he was also a great pick for them where they got him. He's not rookie of the year material but, he's a solid player with a long career in front of him.
He was older than Primo’s draft age when he got to Bama. He then spent 4 years there. One would hope he could pick up some skills in that time. He’s pretty typical of 4 year collegians who make the league: medium to high floor, low ceiling.
Davion Mitc is described as the best rookie defender.
He has played really well for New Orleans this season.
He's very good, but will always have the built in disadvantage of being 6'0". They both have cool nicknames: Mitc 's is "Off Night" and Jones is called either "Not On Herb" or "Straightjacket."
