Hate to see Freeman act out in public like this. Media will eat this up and somehow denigrate the Dodgers over it and side Freeman.

    in' disaster.

You have to cut bait if you're the Dodgers...prompt & engage in conversation Atlanta, see what can be worked out to send him back. Don't be greedy, get rid of him at anything that comes close to acceptable.

Don't drag this thru the 2nd half of the season.

excuses for the winningest stretch in modern MLB history + a license to cheat yet only 1 tainted ring to show for it

the astros are almost as poorly handled as the rockets, the only difference is the astros actually hit on their high draft picks. but the downfall is inevitable, they missed their window for multiple championships, and you know it
If you knew what winning was like in baseball, you’d know you can have the best record, in the playoffs it matters who is the hottest hitting team.

you’ve been saying the downfall is inevitable for some time now lol Astros have the Cuban pipeline lined up, are developing cheap pitching, and have a rotation that can go about 7 deep (Verlander, Valdez, Garcia, Javier, Urduiqy, Odorizzi, McCullers)

    Also, a stacked farm system.

Also, poorly handled teams give out 10 year, 325 million dollar contracts only to struggle to be .500 when they should still be tanking.

all that stackage only to at best, get obliterated by a low seed NL team in the WS again

I'm intriguing on the conversation but when I look back on the 2021 World Series, the Astros bats went cold. Especially Bergman. I think Dusty gave the guys a chance to rebound and when he finally shuffled the lineup it was too late.

Braves were really deep and still are in 2022. Reminiscent of the Astros before they were hit with free agency. Ya we didn't face the Astros best version.

I still think we are the best team in 2022 but likely lose a Swanson and bullpen arms moving forward.

I still like Astros from the AL in 2022

Another great starting pitching performance pissed away by the Padres.

    Unreal.

    Mosgrove 7 inn 0 runs.

Chocked off in 9th with 2 out by Travis Rodgers.

    Walk off in San Diego

Giants a step lower this season. Still see them in expanded Playoffs.

Ya i saw the ending. Giants uncharacteristically choky this season.

Padres i mean the starting pitching. Mosgrove gets a no decision after a 7 inning one hit shutout.
They lead MLB in spades with blowing quality starts.

Bats did go cold, Braves also had better pitching and got more timely hits. Bringing Verlander back gives them much more depth. Switching out Correa who is elite defensively for a better Bat in Peña, and bringing in Meyers in CF has made them a more complete lineup, especially with Yordan’s ascension. Would definitely love a rematch.

Verlander wow. Did you think he was capable of being this good coming back?

If the ALCS is Astros vs Yankees, might be first time in years that general public is rooting for Houston. It's about time.

3rd team in 2 seasons Scherzer is trying to beat us with. Including Game 2 of the NLCS.

"Sounds like they had to pick up the majority of the 46 million still owed to Hosmer to move him so they didn't get under the luxury tax, Barring a Meyer's trade in the works that means they'll pay the tax 2 years in a row with a near guarantee of next season too after adding Soto and Hader which is going to kick in the really heavy penalties.

Basically they've given themselves a 2 year window to win and pinned it all on Soto."

Don't like the move tbh. Figured Abrams would be involved, but losing Gore is a kick in the nads. Gotta hope Pomeranz and Morejon come back healthy and better than ever.

they also had to trade Voit since Hosmer wouldn't waive his no trade clause to be traded to the Nats
