The core of modern conservatism is dishonesty, violence and greed.

The dishonesty and greed from the evangelical leadership pushed this previous non-issue as an issue because they thought they could benefit from it. They did, and the violence of forced birth is laid out rather clearly here.

I try to be wary of my own confirmation bias, but it is hard not to see it here.

Starbucks will cover travel expenses for employees seeking abortions.

In a memo on Monday, the company said it wanted to ensure that its employees had “access to quality health care.”

I listen to NPR quite a bit. They were discussing Roe v Wade and brought on a woman who was head of some non-profit (no idea what the name was). Anyway, she had seven unwanted pregnancies and delivered all of the babies. They never got into how she ended up in that position. So I don't know if some of these (or all of these) were rape situations. Her goal was to make abortion more accessible. But it seemed like a terrible guest to bring on to try to make a point.

Just because you believe something should be an option for others doesn't mean you want it for yourself. I personally would not want or recommend that any family member of mine get an abortion. But I don't pretend to know everybody else's social and/or medical situations and don't think it's my place to make those decisions for others.

100%. It's not my body or situation and not my place to tell someone else what to do.
I just thought she was a terrible guest to bring on the air to support women's choice. Especially since they never got into the cir stances of her seven children. Nor did they ask her if she regretted having any of them.
It was pretty weak from NPR in my opinion. I don't know the stats but I'm pretty sure that the large majority of unwanted pregnancies are due to the guy and/or girl just being irresponsible.

    pro-life clown car

"In places like Washington D.C.," fetuses are "burned to power the light's of the city's homes and streets," claimed Catherine Glenn Foster, who had, just minutes before, sworn not to lie under oath. The GOP-summoned witness let loose the wild and utterly false accusation that municipal electrical companies are powered by incinerated fetuses.

"The next time you turn on the light, think of the incinerators," she said

The same Cordileone that has protected pedophiles in the church by not releasing an official list of clergy known to be credibly accused of child sexual abuse.

Why does a population need to be corrected for race?,,,,it seems the only country doing this is us. Why do you think that is?

I already covered that. The AA population has a higher IMR nationally, therefore areas with higher AA populations will have a higher overall IMR. It's simple math.

Why does the AA population have a higher IMR nationally?
This bypasses the bull . Does IMR have any correlation with socioeconomic status? Even within a “race” or whatever you want to muddle on about? Is there a socioeconomic correlation just within the Caucasian population? Geographic location, rural or urban?

Does it need to be corrected for race?

    Explain why.
