Nope only 2 states Arkansas and miss said no abortion in state today
However your employee Now give you money to get your ass in cal and murder a baby the day before they are born
13 states have trigger laws and Pence said there needs to be a national ban. There's no reason to think that a court that leapt over a 50 year old precedent at the first possible instance will rest content with that.

Funny Thomas didn't mention Loving v Virginia, iirc that result rested partially on substantive due process.
Shocking you weren't appointed by Biden for SCOTUS. I guess they didn't need any spaghetti delivered on bicycle.

But they were very recently, and opened the gates for a terrible rulings like this one. The NY ruling is relatively inconsequential, I think, there are workarounds for it.

That said, it's not like the Democrats are not at fault here either, tbh. Once Dennison turned the court into a christian taliban sect, adding 3+ more members should've been a priority, even if it had to pass via reconciliation.

Or, conversely, codify Casey into law. They did neither. I'm sure they're reap some good campaign financing and get out the vote with this, but they need to stop fielding terrible candidates, tbh
They built the system in a way to get their way. The dems, even with a super majority, can't really do . The dems are notorious for sitting on their hands and ing about what the GOP is doing.

This is a good point. Democratic norms and values didn't protect anyone from the feral, anti-majoritarian sadism of the GOP. The Dems need to start taking exercising power much more seriously.

This is such an embarrassing almost parody of the "do something" twitter leftists. Then when you ask what the something is, its usually tatamount to throwing some sort of tantrum which will somehow make Republicans go away or something whihc anyone who passed a high school history knows can't happen lmao

I had a couple of direct suggestions about what could be done on the previous page, btw. Both in principle are politically viable, given the political will to do them.

    1. Congress passes a law restricting SCOTUS to its original jurisdiction and strips it of judicial review;

    2. Congress passes a law expanding SCOTUS.

Neither of those things would be a tantrum or magical thinking. They would be direct applications of majority power.

Of course they can, and have done so in the past. They don't have that at the moment though.

Unfortunately, national Democratic party politicians are basically unwilling to use political power to vindicate the rights of the people they represent, they are mostly content to fundraise off it.

What's the Democratic Party plan? it's not like they had no forewarning on this.

This is a great opportunity to size leadership there. It is up for the taking now... who's going to step up to the plate? Joe and Pelosi ain't doing it.

btw, at the precinct level, any organized group of a dozen or two can take over. , Bernie's crew basically took over the Nevada operation in 2016 before the DNC put the kibosh on that.

The fact that Biden is not coming out and making a statement on national TV explaining this ruling and that abortion is not banned proves this is all a set up. The democrats want this chaos and uproar.

    ducks!!!!!!!!!
