No, you’re right, we should just do nothing, it’s worked great so far! Conservatives are killing it in this thread (no pun intended).
what's your solution? Quit being an ass and bring your proposal to stop school shootings.

    Nice duck and dodge

Honestly, I don't think there is a solution. These are obviously mentally disturbed people. what is their motive? Dubious "fame"? Making it policy not to release their names might help in that case. Just call every one "mentally disturbed shooter".

Higher level (better qualified) of security at schools is another.

Beyond that I really don't see any reasonable solutions.

off the top of my head..

mandatory thought and prayer sessions every morning from 4am-6am

arm students starting at kinder(must pass 2 week arms training class)

shoot on site anyone who steps foot on a school campus without identification

put gun vending machines in grocery stores

allow HEB buddy bucks to be used to purchase gun in case of emergency

I gave my solution, and you already replied to it, you geriatric re

Good to know you’re in the “do nothing” camp. Keep that same energy when it’s one of your grandkids.

tell me again? The only one I saw was better security at schools which I agreed with. If you had more they are buried in this thread.

Other than that, all you have brought to this discussion are juvenile insults.

This is not true. He bought the guns legally and passed a federal background check.

    source?

This is all I have seen:

Ramos lived with his mother, who struggled with addiction, up until a few months before the shooting, when he moved in with his grandmother, a neighbor told the Washington Post. He shot his grandmother before heading to the school to carry out his massacre.

put up or shut up. Bring your proposal.
For starters, a well-regulated militia would include:

Every gun owner must take federally mandated training, tailored to the gun they own, includes mental health check. Must repeat every 2 years

30 day waiting period on new gun purchases

Private gun sales must go through federal broker, also subject to 30 day waiting period

Ban clips larger than 10, confiscate anything larger

Limit ammo purchases everywhere except shooting ranges. Can rent larger clips at the shooting range. Cannot take ammo or large clips from shooting ranges home with you

Raise minimum age of gun ownership to 21

Must carry gun insurance. Insurance company financially liable for any crime committed with said gun

Gun owners are criminally liable if their gun is used in a crime, or accidental shooting by a child, and they are shown to have not properly protected it (locked in safe for example)

    Ban military-style protective armor

wow. OK. Although that might help in a perfect world it is realistically not achievable at this point and guns have many other purposes besides "shooting ranges".

Who said shooting ranges was the only place you can have your gun? I didn't even say ban ARs. But unlimited ammo and 30 round clips have no purpose other than war or a shooting range.

So do nothing it is because we don't live in a perfect world.

I personally don't own AR's or AK's any more and only have large capacity clips for my 1022's. I'm just not sure how you could possibly enforce a ban on high capacity clips with the millions of them already out there.

CC demands what we could do. Given a list of completely reasonable things, declines to refute any point except by saying "not achievable".

Expected. Sad, but this is so typical of the Cult of Gun

Ok, fine. For safe of argument, put the large clips aside. What about all the other items?

Its kinda strange because so many guys like CC will actually hoard ammo. I imagine there has already been a big run on it in Texas.
CC, you got a lot of extra because you know it will get lean? Buy any right after?

And also we do have a profile of the most likely shooters in these incidents. MALE, YOUNG 15-27, Social Outcasts, Trouble in School, Trouble at Home.
So lets start there. How could we help/what could we do to the most violent group of people in the US, as IDed above?

    1. Ban high capacity magazines... Ban assault rifles... Increase legal age... Universal background checks... Every other country doesn't have mass killings like the US... it's the gun culture... Very strict laws won't immediately change the culture, but it will over time... If these laws were implemented since Columbine, these kids would have been alive today... Laws have an effect... Or else they wouldn't exist
