If Gobert goes somewhere, Utah may be open to an Austrian Center to replace him if they didn't get a 5 in the trade sending Gobert out.
You should run a franchise, tbh.
Need a cheap PG and probably another big in preparation for a Jakob trade, eg Jalen Smith.
In theory, Wembanyama might be best played at PF with a more stout & sturdy C next to him. This would allow him to be a weakside shot blocker/free safety defender who doesn't have to body up heavier players.
My face when we bring Brett Brown back and realize Patty is an UFA
I’m down with that. 22 years old and should be able to run with our young squad and hit the 3’s. The Spurs will have the Bulls to contend with. But yup I like Jalen Smith
When does free agency start again? I thought it was today. Also, I need my scoops! Where’s tspence when you need him?
I think its around 5 or 530 cst today
I'm all for giving Jalen Smith a shot. FO probably has other ideas.
The ball-handlers are probably already on the team.
I mean, really, Spurs can't sign anyone in free agency, right? That could mess up the tank. Keep that space open to buy first round draft picks for taking bad contracts.
I wonder how much Tyus Jones will go for on the market. He is a very solid PG and could be a decent stop gap
A Jalen Smith is a young player to try out. He'd match the timeline.
Why would he want to play for the Spurs? He's a more than credible backup who will play for a team that wants to win.
Because from what i've read moreso wants a chance to be the starting PG, not necessarily to win now. He played extremely well in Morant's absence. if that's the case he would just stay in Memphis. Plus, you know, his brother plays here. But if the Spurs truly believe Primo is the PG going forward then yeah i guess it would be a moot point anyway
Insane!
Wow. Could have just kept Dejounte and traded for Durant. But let's be honest, do you really want Durant. He's a ship jumper once he feels his chance to win it is gone. And he is a ticking timebomb. In a short time, he won't be tradable for a ton of draft picks. He's like a hot potato.
Did they trade a first round pick for O'Neal before or after Durant said he wanted out? I'm thinking they'll regret that trade now.

Seriously. What a dumpster fire
I bet he wishes he could go back in time and undo the Harden trade. The team's future was bright before that trade. It's been downhill ever since.
