Keon Clark is a free agent this summer. He is one of the best shotblockers in the leauge, but I'm not a big fan of his.

My problem with him is he's too light and too unskilled offensively to start. If you are going to spend the money he'll demand, you better come away with a starter and I don't think he is one. He's a good bench player, however his game is too limited to be anything more than that.

He's not a true center and his work ethic is often questioned, but he does have a lot of raw talent.

    I'd pass on him.

I like him as a bench player. But we allready have Malik, and he would probably want to much money. I wouldn't be upset if the Spurs sign him, but I do think he is too skinny to start at Center in the West.

Would you just resign to the fact that the Spurs are going to sign O'Neil this Summer? There is no need to talk about all these 2nd and 3rd tier players. It is s waste of time and energy talking about players the Spurs will not have an interest in.

What if O'Neal says no? I think that Pop is probably exploring plan B's.....

As Bard pointed out, there is a good chance O'Neal stays in Indy.

To ignore other possibilities is foolish. There are many options and the Spurs will obviously explore each one.

It would not be smart to "know" a free agent will sign with your team and not have backup plans.

I am just screwing with you Timvp. I know it is not a lock to get O'Neil. I am always a very positive person and wishful thinker so that is why I am so adament about O'Neil.

Jim, you do have the right idea though. Insiders say that Pop's first priority is a big man not a guard... and that he like O'Neal a lot. So we can all keep our fingers crossed.

Clark would be a good second or third free agent choice on the next tier down. His arms are worth it.

I still say O'Neal is the way to go.

O'Neal is more offense than defense, and without David we will need more help D. I do think O'Neal is good enough that he would still fit better than Clark if your going for a skinny 6'11'' guy.

Malik Rose and Keon Clark have nearly identical stats except for blocks and FT%. Clark gets more blocks and Rose is a better FT shooter. Rose probably has a bit better of a middle game too. But value wise, the players are fairly equivalent on the court. For the those who thought Rose got too much money, wait and see what Clark is going to get.

Is anyone going to offer more than MLE money to Clark? I'd offer him that much.

I agree. He's definitely worth MLE money.

Clark is just a longer Rose without the heart.

That would be a stupid signing

If you want Clark for your bench...

    then consider him.

If you are looking for a starter...then pass.

I have never been on the Clark bandwagon. He should be better than he is due to his raw natural ability. Would like to see him actually develop a nice jumper, which I have not seen evidence of and become a better rebounder....(on the rebounder part...I might be off, since I am not aware of his numbers...but I dont see Clark as a force on teh glass, which he should be.)

He is only about 4 months younger than Malik Rose, and Rose has shown more improvement than him in his career. I think Clark could get better, but he hasn't yet. I like Clark coming off the bench, but we have Rose, so we don't really need him.

He was the most overrated FA last season, and he could win that award this season as well. Anything more than the MLE would be highway robbery.

If the Spurs were able to get him along with say....Stackhouse...then he would be a good signing.

NO WAY that the Spurs get O'Neil. He will resign with Indy...that is a fact!

I don't want Stackhouse. Clark didn't do much for the Kings this season, but I wouldn't mind him for the right price.
