I like it, I think Browns a really good coach. Philly did him wrong and put blame on him when it was a lose-lose situation
Assistant to the Regional Manager.

brown has experience with "the process" (even if it was a failed one).
more retreads and another Pop Yes Man.
Great news. Is this the only coaching spot that needed to be filled?
we staaaaackedd
Might as well get Borrego back too
Brown is decent. He's a better coach than Doc
Perfect choice. He's NO LIMIT TANK COMMANDER in the flesh.
Hope Mitch Johnson is considered a top assistant or co-coach -- think he will since he's coaching summer league
It’ll be nice to have his thick New York accent back on the sidelines tbh.
Think it's actually more New Englandish like Boston isn't it
Oh maybe. Thought he was from NY but now that you say that it does sound pretty Boston-ish. Either way it’s fun to listen to tbh.
Just looked it up, he's born and raised in Maine, which is basically like Boston north, and yes he is interesting to listen to
I guess random Twitter guy was right.
I'm here for it. Spurs won't be expected to win many games this year, but BB was always a good assistant, helped us develop some great players, and may help us recover from some of the brain drain that we have suffered over recent years. Losing people like Bud, Udoka, Hardy, Hammon, etc is a lot
He’s from Maine (about 1:45 north of Boston). He has a very distinct accent from up there - rougher than you’d find in Boston. But the two are very similar.
Didn't he hate tanking? Why are people getting this so wrong?
Poor guy, stuck in the tank trenches again and again. He's like J Robert Oppenheimer, wanting to be a great academic but stuck instead inventing the atom bomb. Now I am become Death, the destroyer of playoff teams.
Link? He signed up to be part of The Process. He knew, understood and accepted the strategy.
Quick Google search:
"I'd be not telling the truth if I didn't say that hearing that makes me even more committed to what we're doing," Brown said. "We feel a responsibility on a bunch of levels to get this right to the fans, to a bunch of 20-year-olds in the locker room, to an ownership group that made an incredible commitment to a difficult strategy."

Why are people getting this so wrong? Brett Brown was fully in on what was going on in Philadelphia.
First rate post. Well done
Perfect fit for a tanking team. One of the best at it!
I’m assuming Brett is coming back because he will be pop’s replacement after next season. Glad to have him back. He’sa great coach.
Spurs love corporate knowledge
Interesting timing after the Hardy hire in Utah.
To have Pop finally step away is a blessing at this point. His replacement is irrelevant.
