Remember when this was our future
Makes Lakers games imminently more watchable. Either James/Davis/Westbrick lose or Walker plays a role in a win.
Remember when this was our future
This was never our future, because a team of three ing guards with the same skillset doesn't work.
Don't get me wrong. Love all three of the guys, wish them the best.
But to be honest, I am tired of PATFO building a stable of like 8 guards, then wondering why we can't compete with the longer and larger teams in the league.
Considering our legacy was built on THE BEST PF EVER....maybe finding another PF is a good idea. Hopefully this draft is a step in the right direction...but then we went and brought in a bunch more guards.
Nobody knows what a PF is anymore.
in before Chinook says Keldon is a PF
More importantly what does Keldon identify as? I think he is position neutral. Not quite a PF not quite a SF but open to experiment as both which Pop fully supports.
Apparently Pop thinks Keldon is a PF, and I don't have the heart to give him the bad news...
I'd say a taller PF who can somewhat protect the rim and play small ball 5. Those type of guys are rare
Haha i was actually just clowning regarding how “he identifies”
position fluid, open to experiment, woke Pop supports his rights etc.
Seriously though...did the Lakers just spend their MLE on Lonnie Walker on the first day of FA?
Is that their big move?
Yeah it is. They only have the tax payer MLE. Virtually no strings left to pull.
Don't forget Hayward is a power forward who literally gets ran out of town because the team has a better power forward and only ever made an all star as a small forward
He thinks Primo is a PG too. Pop's gettin' loopy in his old age.
I don't disagree but if you are tired of the spurs drafting guards then I got some bad news for you
Can I interest you in the Orlando Magic? Between Carter, Isaac, Bamba, Wagner, and Banchero they have a team full of centers and power forwards?
6"6 guys can learn to pass and lead an offense.
6"6 guys can't learn to be 6"10.
That is the difference.
Maybe you should build a team with a solid mix of PG/SG/SF/PF/C?
I know it's a crazy idea...but it just MIGHT work
Welp, can't root for Lonnie now.
y'all might fall in love with him but won't have the cap space to keep him
You got poor man's Dwyane Wade.
Good stuff. Hopefully he's a late bloomer and the Kang can take him under his wing.
The ideal situation for Lonni is a low pressure environment where he can up a lot, learn to play basketball, and develop the mental agility to use his amazing skillset.
If you have a lot of minutes and patience with him, maybe he'll figure it out in LA.
