Does that mean he'll be one of the better defensive players on the lakers?

Damn this Cranjis McBasketball account has some really great analytics. And he's dedicated the last 6 hours of his twitter account to analyse how ty of a basketball player Lonnie Walker is.

Lonnie would wow the shallow Fakers crowd with his nasty dunks. He could be a crowd pleaser.

    Is he any good?
Awful on defense, shot the 3 ball well his first 3 seasons but not last year, hesitant, timid. You’ll love the highlight dunks.

Funny part about Lonnie is for all his athleticism he never really dunked on anybody or in traffic. He had a few highlight reel dunks on fast breaks or where the lane opened up. Shied away from the contact and didn’t have the body to go through people.

Constantly talks about improving his game and needing to get better but never actually does.

Even if he didn't crack the rotation to start the season I would've probably gave him the 6.5 mil just bc age is still on his side and it fits the rebuild.

    Maybe
I could easily see him as a throw in a future trade

LeBron found his new JR Smith

Haha was just thinking that. Poor man’s JR Smith. Looking forward to nationally televised LBJ death stares after Walker steps out of bounds or leaves his feet and turns the ball over.

Also, make sure you have him guard Kawhi Leonard. That's the key to success.

Lonnie could fit well as an entertainer in LA. Sometimes it’s where you play.

Nice $6.5 million payday, more than most people earn in a lifetime, and a chance to prove himself for an even bigger payday. Lonnie is a very rich young man.

This. I don’t see them actively trying to move him, but he’s out the door if his salary fits a trade we need to make.

You got poor man's Dwyane Wade.
Coach Phil Handy is great at player development. Lonnie is only 23 and growing as a player. Lakers might have a steal.

Definitely adds youth and athleticism to the Lakers. Obviously I'm gonna go full homer for him

We have a pretty good track record at developing mid to late FRPs also. 4 yrs later after a long leash, little accountability for being a terrible defender and a green light to attack and take shots and he was still the same player. Maybe he just needs a change of scenery but I suspect at best you got a Malik Monk replacement.
