Coach Phil Handy is great at player development. Lonnie is only 23 and growing as a player. Lakers might have a steal.

Definitely adds youth and athleticism to the Lakers. Obviously I'm gonna go full homer for him
    12.1 PPG, 40.7% FG, 31.4% 3FG, 48% eFG, 2.6 REB, 2.2 STL, 0.037 WS/48, -0.2 VORP, 12.3 PER
    11.5 PPG, 44.7% FG, 36.6% 3FG, 52% eFG, 3.3 REB, 3.3 AST, 0.100 WS/48, +1.5 VORP, 13.4 PER

The statline on the top belongs to 2021-22 Lonnie Walker. Can you name the Lakers legend the similar but better statline on the bottom belongs to?

Vlade Divac? Eddie Jones? Nick Van Excel? Smush Parker? Swaggy P? Sorry I give up.

We have a pretty good track record at developing mid to late FRPs also. 4 yrs later after a long leash, little accountability for being a terrible defender and a green light to attack and take shots and he was still the same player. Maybe he just needs a change of scenery but I suspect at best you got a Malik Monk replacement.
This is fair. I've seen pretty much these same comments about him elsewhere. I'll hope that the light bulb turns on for him in a Laker uni

Haha was just thinking that. Poor man’s JR Smith. Looking forward to nationally televised LBJ death stares after Walker steps out of bounds or leaves his feet and turns the ball over.
forgot about his stepping out of bounds once per game routine tbh

He is a capable scorer which is what you guys need when LBJ and AD sit so low
risk high reward signing tbh. We probably asked him to do too much versus just score.

That gets the old man crazy every time There’s a youtube on that, almost a meme like that “almost highlight” on Nuggets

Joking aside, Lonnie could be a crowd favorite with his awesome dunks. The kid just needs to get unleshed. I’m not familiar with their new Coach Ham “and Cheese”. But I’m in LA, so I might get a jersey in case he becomes Westbrook 2.0

    Maybe
I could easily see him as a throw in a future trade
That’s an option too, but he’s young, has potential, he could be part of the rebuilding.

To be fair he stopped doing that toward the end of the season but yeah it seemed for a while he was stepping outa bounds once every other game.

I mean to take the same offer from a rival is pretty much throwing two middle fingers up at the team...I guess he could make it about winning

We lacked athleticism he gives us some.
I think we could have used the 6.5 on a better player, but he a Rich Paul client so like THT and KCP we gotta overpay
In Rich we trust so not sure why people trip on Pelinka Jeannie or the Rambii … no one wants to call a spade a spade we are run by KLUTCH for better (bubble champs) or worse two playoffs missed with Bron
