    If he’s here as the third C / replacement for Landale (which he likely is because of his decline in athleticism), then the signing means nothing. He will probably play very few minutes.

    He shoots threes. Sort of the same profile as Zollins. It ensures more floor time for Sochan if anything.

    They obviously needed an extra big given they traded Landale. I see Sochan as playing power forward, not center. Thus, we have Poeltl, Collins, and now Deing. I think they had to sign a big because as much as I hope Collins has a solid year, his injury concerns mean you can't just go into the season with two bigs. It's not about how to win, it's about having enough guys to field a team.
