Good veteran leadership for the locker room
Good veteran leadership for the locker room
Perfect mentor for a young group and a decent fit on the floor as well.
Perhaps this signing increases the chances Poeltl will be gone soon.
Well so long for rebuilding
There's your backup center.
Goodbye Wembanyama.
One would think...or at least hope.
All this tells me is pop gonna our sochan at the end of the Bench
He’s not going to raise the floor. Weren’t you here his last time around?
This won’t age well…
If he’s here as the third C / replacement for Landale (which he likely is because of his decline in athleticism), then the signing means nothing. He will probably play very few minutes.
I just hope this doesn’t affect sochan minutes
Gorgui Dieng has agreed to a one-year, $2.9 million deal with the San Antonio Spurs.
Not the Dieng I had in mind
He shoots threes. Sort of the same profile as Zollins. It ensures more floor time for Sochan if anything.
Pretty friendly deal, tbh. Also could be moved easily if he actually gets playing time and shows something
Here we go. Let the avalanche of underrated signings commence.
There goes the salary cap.
Pop’s food and drink expense for an 82 game season.
They obviously needed an extra big given they traded Landale. I see Sochan as playing power forward, not center. Thus, we have Poeltl, Collins, and now Deing. I think they had to sign a big because as much as I hope Collins has a solid year, his injury concerns mean you can't just go into the season with two bigs. It's not about how to win, it's about having enough guys to field a team.
I was expecting someone like Isaiah Roby, apparently Dieng fit the culture for our young group.
A 32-year old hanging out with a bunch of teenagers.
