man this sucks. This guy may have been my favorite Cowboy since I was old enough to have been cursed watching this sh!tty franchise. For all the f@ggy divas this team trots out year after year, this guy was a real one. unfortunately, I'm not terribly shocked as he was showing signs of severe CTE post-retirement. had a couple of weird issues with law enforcement years after his retirement. the articles are somewhere in the depths of the internet, but i seem to recall he walked into a church brandishing a gun back in 2014 or something until he was taken to a mental rehab facility

Just a punishing runner. He may have something going on before all those hard hits but surely his time in the NFL exacerbated everything.

Iirc he was great as a backup but then when Jerry paid him to be the full time starting RB his production went down
I think that was the nature of his position. I think had he been the primary back from year one, his early stats would have been pretty great. His 2008 and 2009 seasons were fine.
Also take into consideration that in 2008, Jerry signed his Arkansas butt buddy, Felix Jones. And also leave it to Jerry to pay too much money to players past their peak.
