You guys remember the good old days when 1998 was considered such a hot summer after breaking a 50 year record? So hot that DarrinS used to constantly post psuedoscience crap about how the Earth was actually cooling, always using 1998 as the first year of the trendline? Good times those were.

Texans have had time to acclimatize to the hot weather so there should be no complaints.

    Bona fide desert folk.

We get the humidity too out here, would be nice if this was a dry heat instead like you see in deserts.

Would probably take a hurricane to keep us from doubling 1998's total given we're still two weeks from the really hot part of the year, eg first three weeks of August.

True. Eurotrash need to toughen up.

More than 1,000 people have died in Europe as a record-breaking heat wave moves its way through the continent, with the death toll expected to rise in the coming weeks.

They should have bought A/C units and/or pools, amirite.

Just pray that Texas'/Abbott's power grid does not have a major outage in summer, else, lots of older Texans will go down for the count.

    Nothing can be done.

Just think it's funny when Republicans try to say San Antonio has always been this hot when the evidence is right there that our summers have gotten way worse in the last 25 years.

If the temperature was reported in Celsius, no way it would reach 100 degrees Celsius.
