S3 Episode 1 was a masterpiece. Better than anything in season two, except for “Forks”.

Episode 2 was pretty meh. We’ll see whenever I get to Episode 3.

a million close up shots of carmy slowly chopping vegetables or some playing over flashbacks of we already knew about... for the entire episode

The episode went over your head. It’s fine. It’s not your fault. Some people enjoy a Bordeaux, others prefer Miller High Life. Something for everyone.

I felt this way. Still kind of liked it but I thought it was a huge step down from the first two seasons. "Fart sniffing" is a perfect description for a lot of extended scenes this season.

The dinner conversation in the last episode, for example, while I understood and respected its place and purpose in the story, also felt like every boring ass work dinner where people are trying to impress each other with who can have the more inflated sense of purpose in their job. I could not roll my eyes hard enough and I was really afraid that was going to be the whole episode.

The Tina episode was probably the best one, and that was a flashback. Also too much Fak. He's becoming this show's Jar Jar.
i remember liking episodes 2 and 3 quite a bit, and Tina's episode was a nice change of pace... WITH THAT SAID, much like Richie's sudden character arc 180 in season 2 when he suddenly becomes passionate about fine dining after like a 2 minute conversation with Asian guy outside the restaurant he went to train at, i dont feel like the payoff of the Tina episode was earned

during her conversation with Mikey (great scene tbh), she talks about how she has admiration for the hunger the youth show. but where the are the roots of that during the episode? the only time she interacts with young people that episode they're all being pieces of to her. like the guy who she literally told to go himself. its not like there was some scene where she saw some young employee being passionate about their work or anything like that. they are all bored, disinterested s. so her suddenly going on this spiel of having some admiration for the youth was kind of out of nowhere
