You're 100% right. That's how our VP got on the Democrat radar. She was targeting 2-strikes minorities in South Central. Sent too many people of color into the pen for life for minimal marijuana possession. An entire generation wiped from the streets. Guns and gang violence can't do the numbers incentivized District Attorneys can do. It was her star rising or let people of color smoke some pot in their dire surroundings. I don't blame her. rigid sentencing guidelines take discretion away from judges...that's a bad thing.
I don't know if both house burglaries were armed burglaries. So I don't know about this dude in particular. But agree, putting someone in for life should be on a case by case basis.
