Bring it back up when he’s out of office. If there are legitimate things he needs to answer for, then he should also face the consequences. No bullet proof vests, no halos. I’m all for holding anyone and everyone accountable for their misdeeds, especially criminal misdeeds.
Here’s the thing. Whichever side you land on politically, whoever you support or despise, one thing should be made clear by all of the fallout since the election. When you’re bat crazy, you boldface lie, you’re driven by a narcissistic greed for power, and you’re an absolute face to everyone, even your closest, most loyal followers, you make a lot of ing enemies. And at some point, whether sooner or later, you’re probably going to have to face some ty consequences because of it.
Keep all of those same traits, bat crazy, boldface liar, power hungry narcissist. Just take out being a face to everyone and replace it with being a genuinely nice guy. That one change, and you know what, maybe he catches no heat at all. Just being nice, civil, respectful. No certainty, but I personally think that could make an enormous difference. But for him, it’s like it’s the hardest thing to do in the history of the world.
