We'll pretend you Wiki-know.
Yup, there are really 5 parts that differentiate the two versions, with the auto sear being the biggest item.
Chuncko is just being Chuncko.
We'll pretend you Wiki-know.
The auto sear is actually one of the smallest items.
Of course, since Philo says the Armalite AR-15 isn't the same as the Colt AR-15, Beto was wrong.
im sorry that annoying internet lawyer who has never owned a gun was able to google/wiki his way into proving you wrong about muh guns
BULL . AR15's by definition were never select fire and were never used in Vietnam. Colt modified them into the M16 changing several components, bolt, Autosear, trigger, lower receiver, etc. To get the contract with the US govt. Relatively speaking the 5.56 round is a pretty modest round. Yes, it can obviously kill people but relatively speaking its pretty much a pussy round which is why the government chose it. Light weight, light recoil.
That’s all fine and good but Beto never said the AR15 was used in Vietnam. His point was it was designed for combat during the Vietnam war which, I don’t think is disputable.
You said yourself that the Armalite AR-15 and the Colt AR-15 aren't the same. The AR-15's today are modeled after the Colt version since they aren't select fire.
Gottem
It wasn't. Philo just ing told you they aren't the same.

This thread exhibits why 2A cultists are ing worthless. Just buried in the minutiae missing the Forrest for the trees.
somebody said "clip" instead of "magazine" in a discussion about gun control
Philo
The name "AR-15" is a Colt registered trademark, which refers only to the semi-automatic rifle.
An AR-15-style rifle is any lightweight semi-automatic rifle based on the Colt AR-15 design. The original ArmaLite AR-15 is a scaled-down derivative of Eugene Stoner's ArmaLite AR-10 design.
derp still mad that he was wrong
And you disagreed then tried to use Wiki to prove it.
Same wiki page you used
gotheem again
too hung up on the Bill of Rights!!!!
"teh militia though! well regulated militia!!!!!"
CC said that the ar-15 was never used in vietnam. my wiki says the ar15 was used in vietnam.
Not the AR-15 Beto was referring to, Philo . Even then it was experimental and not deployed before Colt bought the platform and renamed it.
This is why the guy laughed, but the dip s here who need moar narrative don't see truth.
im sorry that beto had to clarify, for gun experts such as yourself, that when people buy AR15s today, they are not buying relics that were built and used in 1960, but rather, newer models derived from it
^voting for Beto
