He was struggling with injuries all season, with age the situation gets worse every year. Not particularly Benzema, but all players. It left me with the head scratched when Madrid went all in with MBappé, without securing a good backup center forward.

You need two players behind the ball when the pass is made. Normally the keeper is one, but in this case he isn't.
You need to have 2 defending players behind the attacker. Usually one of those players is the goalkeeper, but since the goalkeeper here is more advanced than the attacker foot, there's only one defender behind the attacker.

To his credit, it's a complicated rule. For example, it doesn't apply on throw ins, or if the attacking player is behind the middle line on the pitch when the pass is made, or if the pass is made by the defending team.
