In all the years I've seen UT football I'm not sure I've ever seen them as double digit home dogs. There's no way bama covers 17.5

The line is Bama 20 right now almost everywhere. I think that's appropriate. We just don't know what kind of team Texas is this year but I'm not optimistic about this game regardless.

I feel like Bama will win somewhere between 14 and 28 points. IMO, Bama is prone to these road scares more toward the middle of the season where they start to get worn down by the rugged SEC schedule. They always come out on fire early in the year

The only way Texas doesn't cover is if they try to get fancy in the passing game and turn the ball over too much.
Keep it simple, run the ball with maybe the best backfield in college football and you'll be in the game in the 4th

If Texas can hold Bama under 45 while scoring more than 20, that’s basically a win for them. They have no shot at actually winning this game.

If Texas can effectively run the rock, then the game should be highly contested. However, if Bama is able to shut down the run and make Texas 1 dimensional, it will be a long day for the burnt orange.
