People have finally caught on that Real has played an un-attractive bunker style for years now but squeaked out legendary last second results. Kroos is gone and Modric on his last legs.

I can only imagine that locker room. Going into the season they were busy indirectly arguing over how 4 of them will win the Ballon dOr. And now Barca arguably has 3 superior players than anyone over there. The arrogance finally caught up with them. But this all goes in cycles. It was Barca in this same position 5 seasons ago.


This Barca squad has shown enough (against Top compe ion) that the goal is UCL Semi-Final and beyond. Sacrifice La Liga for this current run.

Valverde and Camavinga are super players but they lack the playmaking abilities Toni and Luka provided

but no it wasn’t bunker footbal’, the team was complete and balanced, we had actiual CB’s and FB’s

Asensio is an excellent CB and I don’t know why Carlo is reluctant to start him on a regular basis

Those subs killed us. I like what Flick has done overall this season, feels like our first truly great coach in ages, but once Pedri came off, so did the wheels.

I'm still unsure whether or not Flick is actually a serious coach despite his accolades (which mostly came in COVID-ravaged 2020). Him rigidly holding onto the the high defensive line seemingly no matter what the game or result is like feels rather insane at times, to me anyway.

He's a damn good coach and considering nobody has scored more goals in europe than Barca the difference between this year and last year's Barca is massive. I agree the high line needs to chill, but there is no question about his capabilities as a coach. His 2020 CL run was one of the most dominant in history.
