In reality, It doesn't matter in the long view, does it? We have plenty of back-ups on the roster at whatever his position is, don't we? If he was out for the season how many extra games would we lose? That is a chiling thought.

I want him to hit the ground running, but I also want Jones to establish himself and get an extension from the Spurs to make him an asset going forward. My fear is that hr peaks at the end of the year and either walks or is kept on a larger deal that makes him untradeable.

Tanking the pre-season. Two injuries that will miraculously not cause the players to miss the start of the regular season.

It sucks that it's our young guys who are getting injured, when they should be the ones taking advantage of this season. Hopefully both Keldon & Primo get back to 100% without any lingering issues.

Keldon and Primo are in the group of 3 oldest of remaining 6 homegrown FRPs on our roster. The ‘young guys’ will be the ones be benefiting from their injuries.

Sorry, my bad, I got vets Keldon & Primo confused with youngsters. Thank God you were here to help me put my thoughts out.

The beauty of this season and having a flat roster in terms of talent is someone else now gets more opportunity. This should benefit Romeo Langford and his chances at making the team tbh.

And only two days ago I drafted Primo in the 11th round of my fantasy league and thought it was a steal.

I realize it says likely to be ready for the start of the regular season, but nonetheless at this franchise's steady stream of bad news for 5+ years.

(it's staring to look a little like the 96-97 season.)

The league has made it abundantly clear, from allowing S abg to screw them to not rewarding them from that or their annual participation in the "play-in" instead of tanking, that they're still holding onto old grudges from their unwillingness to be "partners" while on top, as well as "load management".

Tbh Tre is a more natural PG than Primo, and better at setting up Poeltl (if he’s still with the Spurs then). While Blake needs to hone his skills at Austin, I do want him to get plays with the big club as 2nd/3rd PG for now.

Two injuries = two opportunities for the rookies to show what they really have. Lets see what they can/can't do against pro compe ion even in pre season.
