I dont actually get the Coco Chow thing. Is it just the alliteration of it? Is it a play on Coco Chanel or coo coo cachoo or cuckoo for cocoa puffs? I don't get it. Seems like it's his Gotheem cherry on top rip on McConnell, but what does it really mean?
Dude can't help himself. It would actually be pretty amusing... if he weren't the former freaking president of the US and a lightning rod of brainwashing disinformation for tens of millions of people.
In part, I think he thinks he's being pretty witty and clever with his lowest brow of humor. But his quips are pretty obviously based on his personal opinions on race. From kung flu to calling the Vietnamese PM Fook Yu to protecting that house... "which happens to be white" to "tough hombre, thugs, and rapists," his language makes it crystal clear what he thinks of non white people and whose sensibilities his words are catering to.
If it were just some guy at the gym making a joke, you could brush it off, disregard, even laugh at the guy for being a jerkoff. But it's not just some guy at the gym. It's a former president. Former leader of the free world. A political and social and cultural influencer to probably a quarter of the country, if not more. For a guy who ended up running for president because he thought Obama's jokes about him were out of line, he sure has flipped that script by like infinity.
Sometimes all you can do is syh uncomfortably like you would when your crazy uncle tells a raunchy dirty joke in front of a bunch of women at a religious fundraising event.
