Sochan vs Jabari Smith will be a uva fun matchup to watch. Jabari thrives on pull-up + catch-and-shoot scoring and can barely get by with his dribble. Will be interesting to see how Sochan does against that archetype.
Predictions on rotation with Keldon & Primo out?
My prediction on rotation:
Tre/ Wesley/ Hall
JRich/ Branham
Vassell/ Wieskamp/ KBD
McDermott/ Roby/ Sochan
Poeltl/ Collins/ Dieng/ Barlow
General predictions:
-JRich and McD start but probably play very limited minutes
-Continuation of summer league for Wesley: flashes of great vision and electric playmaking, but tendency to make poor decisions
-Sochan: subpar shooting night but great display of fundamentals on defense
-Vassell: inefficient scoring by trying to do too much, but shines with off ball movement and catch and shoot scoring
-Branham: starts slow, but shows scoring prowess towards the end
-Roby: surprises by playing good defense and easy finishes. Shows that he is a good player to pair with Tre.
-Tre: Makes a couple 3’s and the Spurstalk crowd goes wild
