Naw Mets offered him a deal but not the years he wanted. That back is a concern.

    METS SUPER BOWL

Braves still have better starting pitching & bullpen. Correa signing makes our lineups even.

CHOP has young hungry players vs Mets veterans just payday

    Story of the Offseason
2022 Braves & Mets finished same record

    Mets spent 3/4 Billion

    Braves spent $1 Million

Money aside, I am impressed they managed to bring everyone back. But to your point I still see the same roster holes from 2022. Last trade deadline they were criticized for not being aggressive enough. Can't say the same here.

DeGrom is strong in the Postseason but I'd take Verlander more durability.

Phillies won't keep up with ATL/NYM depth in the division. But should sneak into Playoffs again. They are built for 5-game series.

The Shift rule is huge. Players will rise & fall at the plate. Defense will be more difficult.

Verlander was carried this postseason by the rest of the rotation and lineup. He looked awful in two out of three starts, plus he’s not pitching a full season this year like he did last year. Started having calf problems pop up.

Never seen anything like this saga. It's gonna be hilarious when this one falls through as well and he's settles for a 3yr deal with another team next.

    Bauer.

What is difference between being claimed on waivers or clearing waivers.
Because if he clears, can be signed for only 725K. Dodgers will be on hook for his regular salary 22 mil.

Would think the line would form to the left for 725K if available on Monday.

I think a waivers claim includes the remainder of his signed contract. So the Dodgers would've been off the hook if some GM was dumb enough to claim him.

His time as payroll buster is over but this doesn't effect his on field production

Bauer was screwed. The main accuser was well known around here with the San Diego players.

Padres should sign Bauer. Already don't care about locker room after flipping half the lineup late last season. I think Braves should consider signing him too.

Ya claiming off waivers you can outright sign the player.

    ^ Nope.
All the clubs going the self righteous way for now.

Bauer is blackballed until he isn't.

Bauer deserves to win this lawsuit.
Hope he does, or settles with Molly Knight and the Athletic for big bucks.
