"Records are meant to be broken"

    Legacies are remembered

Only player that comes to mind where I've seen people questionably bring into the GOAT conversation based on bloated Era: Calvin Johnson. Watched him as athletic freak in the ACC. Know the story.

But no he's not even Top10 on my list. Longevity vs Championship moments

I don't care. It's never been acknowledged before. Seasons have ranged from 10 games to 17 games. From 1961-1977, it was 14 games.

Think the only time this is going to be newsy is on the well known / mass media records.
    Most rushing yds season.
    Passing yds season.
    TDs season.

Considering it's a 6.25% increase in potential games played, it definitely has to be accounted for when looking at single-season stats. Just look at the actual Games Played column, though - not everyone plays the last week, and most NFL players miss some time with injuries anyway.

The changes in rules greatly favoring offenses have had a much bigger affect on offensive records than adding one game.

Yeah, but offense is overall down this year as teams have adapted to the pass pretty well. More teams are running again.

yeah, but the numbers are a joke compared to 20-30 years ago unless you think Derek Carr is as good Montana and Steve Young

I agree and I don't like it at all but it was worse in 2011 for instance when experts thought running was literally going the way of the dodo.

At least it's still watchable unlike the NBA where defense literally doesn't have a chance and 127-114 scoring games are the norm. When I was growing up that was an extreme exception and Steve Nash was most likely playing in that specific type of a game. Now it's just stupid. Even in the pick up games it's spread like cancer. Everyone wants to be lazy and pull up for three like Stefanie Carry instead of taking it to the hole like MJ or Iverson. I just can't with basketball anymore. Football is still salvageable. The NBA can start by reducing the quarters to like 8 or 9 minutes instead of 12. The scores would be back to 90s-00s normal that way and the players' union and refs' unions would like it because less fatigue and the fans would like it because shorter games without shortening the season; I think it'd be a victory for everybody.

The simplest solution would be to multiply the stats by 16/17, which is roughly 0.9412

If the player missed any games due to injury is where it gets a little weirder, but averaging it over a 16 game season regardless is fair

I think the NFL needs to take a serious look at Hamlin's case and immediately go back to the 16 game season permanently. The NFL has more than recouped the loss of income due to covid lack of butts in seats. Time to return to the norm.

    Amateur,

Jackson has started and completed about 70 games in his career.
    Only missed 8.
    49-21 Btw.

Baltimore's often injured OLine and pathetic receivers have caused Jackson to be hit / have to run far more times then he would with a quality team.
So yes, the past two seasons it has culminated in injuries.

I feel like you have fantasies of you being hunched over at the goal line and Lamar is running naked down the field and that he scores a game winning touchdown at the same time he puts his weenie in your butt.

Your sexual fantasies are probably due to excessive porn watching.
At least i don't think you're hooking up with any of the ST posters who identify as male or Laker.

Tons of testimony from pro's past and present that Lamar is getting utilized horribly.
