Made for a Hollywood script, like a Catch Me If You Can type script. The story is pretty incredible, even more so with today’s technology where you know skeletons and ghosts are bound to surface at some point because of social media and everyone having receipts on their phones, on their computers, in their clouds. He had to know he’d be found out, so why’d he risk it? The only thing left is how the movie ends... life in prison walking the yard with regret, escape to a Polynesian island country with no extradition, or a self-inflicted bullet to the head? The anticipation is riveting.
I got no problem with the drag stuff, even if he wanted to hide it for as long as he could. Lord knows a ton of DC politicos hide freaky, deviant stuff from their personal lives too. But the lies about his finances, his education and work resume, his religious family background which pandered to his voters. Those are the things that got him his seat fraudulently. Not the drag stuff. The drag stuff is funny, especially the smurfette photo. But that’s not why he’s a fraud.
