Why? They are gonna suck either way and can probably draft a better one next year
Levis at 19 seemed like great value, considering some folks even had him going number 1 overall. Specially for a team that needs a QB.

Tampa has to take Levis, right?
    ... nope

Bucs draft Calijah Kancey at 19.

They drafted a guy who is red chip at best at DT, not even one of the best DTs remaining, probably a day two talent guy. Sure they had a hole to fill at DT next to Vita Vea, but that's an odd pick and a bit of a reach. He was productive in college but against inferior compe ion. He might be a solid three-tech but he'll never be Aaron Donald or Jalen Carter.

I like Levis but I always had the feeling he would fall. He will be a value pick for some team willing to develop him. Not a bad idea for Seattle here

Seattle just re-upped Geno Smith for $25 Million per year for three years, don't see them taking him either.

The dream of Levis to Dallas to replace Prescott is alive. One man can only hope.

Yeah, if they had tagged Geno Smith instead of paying him big money, that would have made sense.

    Aaron Rodgers 2.0.

I had him as the best QB in the draft a long long time ago. Oddly enough, the guy that was drafted #1 this year is a lot like Alex Smith except black.

You know we are in bizarro world when Houston made one of the better moves
They lose points for not just taking him at #2 tbh.

Finally a receiver goes... and it's at #20... decent WR added to a good offense. Won't have to be a #1 since they have DK Metcalf.

Njigba for Seattle projects as a slot receiver. Too slow (over 4.5) and too short (5'10") to be a "Z" receiver across from "X" Metcalf.

Maybe the Seahawks are planning to unload Tyler Lockett, which doesn't make sense.

Here comes the run on receivers and pass catchers.

Like that pick (Quentin Johnson) for the Chargers at #21. He's basically another Mike Williams, who is arguably elite, so the Chargers now have two of them with Keenan Allen in the slot. Not a speed receiver, but having two Mike Williams isn't a bad thing. Comps to Dez Bryant and Mike Williams very well.

And the receiver run continues... Zay Flowers to the Ravens at 22... probably the best pure "Z" receiver in the draft, as he ran 4.4 at 5'10". Maybe the Hollywood Marquise Brown replacement that the Ravens needed since trading him to AZ. OBJ is probably a slot receiver at this point in his career.

Who's Minnesota going to take? Invest in Cousins, or replace him with someone who's been comped to him?

Four receivers in a row... nice. Jordan Addison WR to Vikings at 23. Good slot receiver in the NFL... won't be more than that. Again, won't have to be a #1 obviously with future HOFer Justin Jefferson at "X" receiver.

Will Levis still on the board.

Giants and Jags traded.. again a one-spot trade, second of the night... that's a head scratcher. Them and Jacksonville obviously aren't going QB, so Levis will be on the board at #26 if Jerruh wants him.

Giants select cornerback Deonte Banks at #24... decent corner, probably 2nd round talent.

Jacksonville traded the pick to Buffalo and we know Buffalo isn't taking Levis, either, even though I think they should because he's a better quarterback than their in bent.

With the 25th pick and Trevor "Tarzan Lawrence" Legend in the bag, the Jacksonville Jaguars... kings of the AFC South... trade their pick to Buffalo.

The Bills select... Dalton Kincaid... one of the best TE's in the draft... first off the board.

Though I still think Dawson Knox is their best tight end.

Cowboys actually went with the Vita Vea nose tackle pick. We take Mazi Smith, 3-4 Nose tackle, at #26. I actually like it. A- pick imo, it's definitely a change of pace.

That's really the surprise of the night. When's the last time we've taken a nose tackle before day 3? Definitely not in the Jerruh era.

He's probably the best of his kind since Vita Vea... Dexter Lawrence (NYG). He's not going to get a ton of sacks but he'll get 5-6 sacks per year and absolutely demolish the run. 6'3" and about 350 pounds and quick. Michigan players make good NFL defenders. He's a monster.

We're building this 3-4 defense. Got a good rotation going now with Mazi Smith and Hankins at nose, bunch of guys who are undersized at NT but can play DE well like Gallimore, Odighizuwa, Golston et al. Even Lawrence can kick inside and play 5-tech DE especially on passing down and distance. We still have the elite deep pass-rushing OLB corps in Parsons, Williams, Armstrong, Fowler.... (& DeMarcus Lawrence on the regular base downs)

Not the most talented player on the board, but makes perfect sense considering that we've consistently been one of the worst run defense teams in the past 5-6 years or so.

Eagles once again have the best draft to this point. That D-Line is absolutely stacked.

To be fair, I wanted Levis, but with who's picking left in the first round we could always trade up.

They should draft a decent OL prospect in the next round or two, dunno if it would have been worth it at 26. Parsons was happy, that is probably the most important thing tbh.

Was also pretty surprised by Houston not taking Anderson at 2, then trading right back up and getting him. Must be a little satisfying to see them be aggressive like that

I'd take left guard Steve Avila at 58 if he's there for sure. He can also play center if necessary as he did so in college, but that wouldn't be ideal.

I'm pretty stoked with the 3-4 Nose Tackle pick (Mazi Smith) because that's a position we have neglected literally my entire lifetime... last time they drafted a DT of any sort in the first round was 1991, a couple years before I was born. They won 3 of the next 4 super bowls after that pick, too. Stopping the run is the team's biggest achilles' heel and it has been for at least 5-6 years, and arguably the last 10-11 years. Last time they were actually solid against the run was in the Wade Phillips era.

So glad we didn't pick a tight end or a halfback in the first round.
