I know this was a couple of weeks ago, but the more I hear weird stuff like 3:46 "I'm not the savior here" from Kidd I start to think more and more that this guy is not a head coach that will take a team to the next level. I'm sure he's a decently smart X's and O's guy and plenty of current players look up to him as their favorite guy growing up (and because he's half "brotha") but something just seems to be missing.

Never takes blame, seems like a poor leader, and like another "Jason" who was a Dallas professional sports coach he just regurgitates "we didn't execute" after every loss. rofl he even iced his own team's fast break the other night, like Jason Garrett icing his own kicker

probably a few months away from the Cuckericks completely blowing up as they flame out in the play-in game, Kyrie/Wood leave, and left with no choice but to offload Luka from the dumpster fire

I never liked the Kidd hire for them. For one, there were stories of him being ty and having dumb tactics with the Bucks. There's also the fact that they went from one of the worst defensive teams under Kidd to one of the best under Budenholzer. But also his comments after losses are simply baffling. There was one a couple weeks ago that was basically him telling the media "what am i supposed to do, i'm just watching the game like you guys".

Former all time great players seem to always make ty HCs and execs.

How does one go from the best owner in sports to one of the worst? Become a Shark tank star and run your team sorta like it's a flea market, side hustle.

The man just needs to sell the team already. I think he understood before the Kyrie trade that this had no chance of actually working out, but he is hopeful that Luka will have mercy on his soul and not bolt to LA based off of a 'nice effort' in his attempt to pair him with a compatible star. But Luka is not Dirk, he isn't staying.

Tbf Kidd probably deserves as much credit for Giannis as anyone else other than Giannis himself. If for no other reason than he actually started playing him and playing him starter minutes, and the fact that he allowed him to play guard on offense and put the ball in his hands. Giannis is not the smoothest guy with the ball in his hands or a guy who is a natural playmaker, so the decision to allow him to playmake was not exactly a no-brainer. He could very well have just become an athletic power forward defensive specialist like Vanderbilt or Claxton had Kidd not put the ball in his hands. Actual skill development aside, just giving him that opportunity most certainly made a difference.

The viability of ritual seppuku probably warranted after getting passed up by the Lakers tbh

I'd liken him more to late 90's Ewing: someone who seems like a star by the eye test but doesn't really help his team win. Maybe more like lung cancer, hidden from detection but eating away at you from the inside as opposed to the herpes in the ass known as Steve Smith who looked as as his contributions to the team were tbh
