It was a 1 day thing. The next day, it was taken down and destroyed.
Five years ago, on January 27, 2009, a shoe statue was built in Iraq to commemorate for Iraqi journalist Muntazer al-Zaidi, who hurled his shoes at former U.S. president George W. Bush.
It was a 1 day thing. The next day, it was taken down and destroyed.
Happy anniversary, stupid shoe statue!
Dubya looks like he's had a few shoes thrown at him....
I don't think Obama would have ducked or gotten out of the way. He would have probably let the shoe hit him so people would feel sorry for him and like him.
"you didn't make that shoe" -Obama
"It's not my fault that you threw that shoe. I inherited a mess from my predecessor".
Obama would have ducked or put his hand to deflect it, like anybody else would, except that Obama didn't lie his way into invading Iraq for oil, so the shoe at Obama wouldn't have been justified.
Yep.
Clinton really pissed them off with all those cruise missiles he let go into Iran.
Trust me, someone in the Middle East would have every right to throw a shoe at Obama. Drones? I'm sure the families of the dead civilians in the Middle East killed by drone attacks would love to throw a shoe or maybe a stone at Obama or maybe both. Boutons, where are you on that? Do you blindly support Obama on drone attacks?
This mentions two of the attacks:

On June 27, 1993, the President ordered a cruise missile strike against Iraq's intelligence headquartersThere were more attacks than just cruise missiles initiated while Clinton was president. And you lefties wonder why he knew an attack was coming our way.on September 3, 1996, and launched cruise missile strikes on selected targets in central Iraq

Iraq (1998)
The official US estimates were announced 9 Jan. 1999, but I'm not sure the press was paying attention. They all agree that the low was 600 Iraqis killed, but the high was variously reported as 1,200 (Christian Science Monitor), 1,600 (NY Times, Montreal Gazette) or 2,000 (Buffalo News, Houston Chronicle). There also seems to be some confusion over whether the 600+ contains all types of Iraqi military, or just Republican Guards. And to further cloud the issue, I've seen articles (not cited here) which give these numbers as "casualties" (Which technically includes wounded.)
LOL...
Sorry, I meant Iraq. My bad.
The deserved it. Nothing more than a RINO , who went to pieces when Trump made President. His old man was loafin' around in his wheel chair goosing women the last 5 years of his life, the .
& bouts let it go. Mr. Softy back then. LOL.
