The Hornets got the lead back up to 6, but there's still too much time on the clock.

The Hornets are trying to give the game away. Their 20-point lead is down to 3.
The Spurs aren't catching Charlotte even if they lose every game the rest of the year. No way Pop allows it.

They were on the 2nd night of a back-to-back, which makes this win even better.

Spurs only have to lose four games to lock in the third worst record.

Incredible loss by Dallas! Feels great to see CHA win and put it out of reach. It’s not official, 4 losses for SA is magic number, but it’s official!

Please draft gods, look down on us with favor.

I thought it was any combination of Spurs losses and Hornets wins.

It is but if the spurs lose four it doesn't matter what Charlotte does. Spurs easily have four losses in them.

Mavs in trouble if they think that last game of the season against the Spurs will be a layup. Spurs should have 3rd place locked up and come ready to play. It’d be a nice way to end the season to eliminate the Mavs from playoff contention.

Last time wiz swept spurs in season series was in 1997. And in 1997 we got 1st pick. Let's hope history repeats itself.

4 is the magic number, SA losses, CHA wins, or any combination.
Spurs have Celtics, Jazz, Warriors, Kings, Suns, Wolves, and Mavericks left on the schedule. All teams with more talent and something left to play for (in terms of playoff hopes or positioning)

Even if Charlotte loses out, it seems highly likely that we got the top 3 locked up.

Oh, I agree. Someone just stated that the magic number is four Spurs losses, and that is incorrect. It’s the combination of our losses and their wins, totaling four. Charlotte keeps inexplicably winning games.

No idea what went through Cuban's head... Oh wait, I do.

And Luka is probably alluding to legal (an overall) issues with his mother.

It's possible for Dallas to get good. The Spurs were dead in the water in the early 2010's and rebuilt with Gary Neal and a reclaimed Danny Green and drafting George Hill before flipping him. A good front office can make a team from scratch. It's hard but possible.

Dallas does not have a great front office. They would need a Sean Marks-type talent evaluator.

But the bigger problem is Doncic's play style. If he doesn't have the ball, he doesn't do anything. He marginalizes good talent even when he does have the ball.

Plus just being a big baby on the court. Gets easily frustrated, constantly complaining to the refs, on the verge of suspension for technicals, etc.

Amazing talent, but has already become one of the biggest divas in the league...

Man, half way thru the second and no thread? oof
Shows the lack of interest in watching and discussing the games this year. I try to keep my interest up by concentrating on one player at a time, especially the new guys.
