Beesus they absolutely ruined with the Perry Mason HBO remake.
Ok that's cool but where is the prequel?
…also….the original was not a car crash/blowing up/high death count /sex scene type of movie…
maybe todays special effects will make the vertigo condition at least interesting

but there was a lot of story getting in the way of the blowing up and its hard to see how they will handle a remake
The original was a contrived and convoluted story to watch - more in line with a Broadway play, imo.
The bar is set low to improve on it or fail miserably because of the bad storyline.

there was a good story and a lot of emotional psyche issues and it was a different era
today- of course it seems like a bore but today we have been entranced by 3 to 6 seconds and then scroll away before we get bored
so yeah- it probably will flop as no one can sit and watch a story unfold

Downeys great as cynical Tony Stark cracking jokes along with having airhead girlfriends.
As for a suave leading man like Jimmy Stewart with a nice dame like Novak, nope he's not a fit. But modern Hollywood with no doubt screw it up.
Too bad Hollywood can't come up with a creative thought anymore. If it's not a superhero movie it's a remake.
