Since Harden is on an expiring deal there is a clause in the CBA that allows the Sixers to void the contract and disallow him from signing a new one anywhere else in perpetuity if he pulls a Simmons and doesn't show up. So Harden's either just going to come to camp a fat bas and then play super lazy in the regular season like he did in Houston and never get another big contract or he'll bust his ass there to try to show he's worth the money he wants on his next contract somewhere else.
Funny thing is while Harden is an asshole and lazy as , there are many players who consider Morey a snake and liar. So they are both snake.

Harden absolutely is going to pull a Simmons, maybe even worse. It was said Morey, like usual, promised Harden the max he was looking for initially, urged him to opt in. When the max didn’t happen, he said he was going to trade him like he wanted. Went back on his word there too. Yeah Harden is going to be as nasty as ever about this.
Morey can make him retire if he refuses to play due to a rule in the CBA for players in the last year of their contracts.
That'll be either waived, or, forbidden to be broached due to Black vs. White.
