I know when I was in the game I did better when I was mad at the opponent or had reason beyond just winning at stake
ATL runner on 3b failure to score on the wild pitch changed the whole series imo.
Perhaps Phillie still wins but wow, what a colossal blown op by runner.

I wish the Astros vs Rangers was in the WS, but now that the Astros are in the AL, the ALCS is the best they can do......I am looking forward to this series.
The one team I want the Astros to beat the most in the WS is the sorry ass St. Louis Cardinals.
As for this year, first we have to beat the Rangers. If we do that, I want the Diamondbacks, only because we already beat the Phillies last year. Also, it will be the 6th team the Astros played in the WS, no repeats.

Yup, it's definitely one of the closest things you'll see in modern baseball to a dynasty, if it isn't one officially.
The thing with baseball is it's such a mental sport and confidence and unconfidence spreads like wildfire so damn quickly throughout the clubhouse and dugout to the extent that like no other sport, it truly is a game-by-game, and year-by-year league. Pitchers get hurt, or outright lose confidence on one team and switch teams frequently, and have success elsewhere. Which is why you don't see teams going 120-42 or better and you typically don't see teams like the Altuve Astros having this long of a sustained success period.
