To be clear, my reply was aimed towards how you move as a black person ( since you brought it up ). We can keep it a buck and agree to disagree on your tactics. Either way, I’m good.
But we aren't disagreeing on tactics. I'm talking about why the term exists. The term exists because of respectability politics, not simply because of white supremacy. Basically it comes from the view that racism is something a person can justify with behavior, and that's not true. A lot of us when we were younger thought that made sense in large part because folks like Chris Rock and Bill Cosby told us it did. Talking about that is actually answering the question posed in this thread. Saying "you'll get beat up" doesn't, because most of these folks act completely differently IRL and know not to just randomly insult people (with slurs or otherwise).

Oh Gobert is a huge asshole but he didn't do anything overtly wrong here, he looked like he was just trying to peel Klay off his teammate when Draymond decided he wanted to audition for Dana White's Contender Series.
