Wonder if the Jazz would trade them some of their picks back for Ant down the line tbh.

Yeah man y'all already fierce but he's not even close to the player he's gonna be in say 3 years. I can see why the Spurs had him second on their 23 draft board ahead of Miller and Scoot.

I think they're probably second best behind OKC, assuming they get Holmgren back this season with time to get up to speed for the playoffs. I definitely like them over Golden State.

It’s crazy. He’s doing this off the bench another good game 19pts/13 rebounds. That Harden trade might not be topped and Ime telling Harden to kick rocks when he begged to come back to Houston was most wise.

the most impressive thing about VP cucker is that he got Sengun to play defence. I don't even know how he did it but he has turned Sengun into, at least in advanced metrics, one of the best Rockets. He's #2 on the team in DRtg and DBPM, and leading the league in DWS (??!!?!??!). His defensive impact has jumped logarithmically in the last couple of seasons and I thought he would never even be an average defender. Hats off to Sengun, but also to Ime who really set up a great system for Sengun to thrive in.

That said, i am still not overly positive that Sengun is the right player in that system, yes his advanced and counting stats are both impressive, but I just find it really hard to build a championship, or even contending team around him. He, at times, feels like a Sabonis type of guy to me.

Rockets should get rid of Cam Whitmore and Jalen Green, and get some role playing vets, future picks, and or a FVV replacement in place.

It's all the system and personel around him. Bigmen tend to get all the metrics love in good defensive teams because they are the ones that get the rebounds, the blocks and the "contests". If Amen Thompson gets all up in his guy's face and makes him get all dis bobulated to the rim, all Sengun has to do is just wait in his place with his hands up. Amen, Brooks, Eason, the Rockets are packed with great perimeter players, those are the real MVPs, tbh.

On another note, I don't see the Rockets as real contenders, tbh. They don't have a true franchise player and they have a bunch of players with glaring weaknesses that get hidden on the regular season but could be exploited on a playoffs series.

Jalen Green. Amen can't shoot. Sengun is undersized and can't shoot. FVV is a midget. Adams can't shoot. Sheppard is another midget. Not a single franchise player that can take over in the clutch. The rotation has too many holes.

lol dillon brooks is a starter. he literally can't do anything basketball related consistently well. his only consistency is he will piss the wrong people off and get 40 dropped on his head

Amen is shooting 57 percent from the floor because his size allows him to get to the basket whenever

Sengun has a better shooting percentage than Victor

FVV isn’t asked to be a shooter

    You’re again clueless

Brooks is shooting damn near 38 percent from three.

which would be a career high for a guy who is intentionally not defended because hes so wildly inconsistent out there. 37% on completely undefended 3s is an absolute win for the opponent

That's all nice and dandy in the regular season when teams just play their schemes without caring much for the opposition, but in the playoffs, when teams plan based on matchups, you are gonna struggle when teams just pack the paint and let your multiple brick layers damage the rim from outside, tbh.
