Vassell is a 6th man at best, not worth what we’re paying him.
He at least plays defense, much more than I can say for Sochan, Johnson, or Branham. Sucks he's still so inconsistent offensively, but he's the least of this team's worries right now.

Wemby's work on his 3 is paying dividends. And he's way more confident there now.

Game only close because Memphis has been bricking all of these wide open threes. Looks like that is starting to change.

Think I'd trade him for Forbes. At least Forbes could shoot while playing the same level of defense as Suckhan.

Wemby has a fear factor in the paint that we're not using and AGAIN we overhelp and don't defend the 3....

It's so ridiculoous that I suspect Pop's happy about it otherwise we'd win too many games. Surreal

Tbh if were not for Bane hitting the 3’s. The Griz are affected by Wemby blocking shots they’re not going to the hole as much.

the funny thing is, you cite guys like mcgee and jordan, but im not sure those make your case. those are both guys who were drastically less skilled than wemby, but were capable of being double digit scorers with high efficiency because teammates went out of their way to give them opportunities which those rare bigs can exploit because of their unique athletic traits. wemby isn't the leaper than jordan/mcgee were, but he has a longer wingspan and standing reach than either, while being more nimble than either. if jordan could score 12ppg by being spoonfed dunks, wemby should be able to be spoonfed at least 12 easy ppg in addition to the other stuff he can do
The point I've made before is that there was more to those guys getting their shots than you seem to be suggesting here. Those guys got their lobs due to coordinating with their teammates. The other players didn't just "give" them the ball. They were smart about how they moved. Even "brainless" archetypes have nuances that need to be learned in order to perform at the NBA level. All you have to do is look at the highlights of those guys work to see they behaved completely differently on the court than how Wemby behaved to start the season and even at times now. It's those nuances I said Robinson understood from his first game, regardless of whether he felt like he didn't know how to play basketball as a rookie.

Grizzlies commentator said the same thing. Wemby is changing the way they play and these bums still don’t capitalize with a generational defender by them. They’re beyond help
