Wama on an absolute great run the last 5 games. His per minute should continue to go up the rest of the season.

    Current place / stats

    1st Blocks 4.0
    11th Rebounds 12.8
    27th Points 25.0
    106th* Assists 3.7

Dk why this site uses 36 minutes and not a full game time of 48. Perhaps you stats geeks can verify.
    2023-24 NBA Player Stats: Per 36 Minutes | Basketball-Reference.com

*Assists Wama can make the perfect pass but if his teammates brick, as they often do....no assist. Just as an NFL QB can have dropped passes, i am assuming Wama is near the league lead in assists botched.

How about ticket sales in games he plays vs games he doesn't?

They use 36 minutes, because that would be a common amount of minutes to play. Wilt is no longer alive, let alone in the NBA, so no one regularly plays 48 minutes.

Wama up on the comp or the same in every category.
Except blocks. That darned Kessler is killing it on the Jazz. Even then Wama upped his blocks from 4.0 to 4.1.

    2nd Blocks 4.1 (Kessler Utah 4.2)
    12th Rebounds 12.8
    15th Points 26.0 Moved up 12 places
    87th Assists 4.2 up 50 spots.

Spurs defensive rating this season (per 100 possessions) Per NBAWorld

114 WITH Wembanyama on the court (Would currently rank 5th in the league)

124 WITHOUT Wembanyama on the court (Would currently rank WORST in leage history...A record the Spurs currently own from last year with almost the same roster EXCEPT Wembanyama.

If youve been on this board for the last 3 years or so, you guys know this is where I hang my hat on criticism of the Spurs and Pop specifically. So what does it say that our defense has regressed even worse with these same guys over last year when Wembanyama isn't on the court?

It says we've gotten worse. And it says something has changed and failed with how Pop coaches these kids, and the standard he holds them to.

I'll say it yet again...THIS TEAM WILL NOT IMPROVE ON THE WHOLE UNLESS AND UNTIL WE IMPROVE DEFENSIVELY (WITHOUT WEMBANYAMA ON THE FLOOR TO HIDE THE TEAM'S INCOMPETENCE.
