Media week leading up to the game

Clearly 49ers are making a point of reminding/focusing on this point...

Initially I wanted SF DC to come out aggressive hair on fire

We should flex don't break 1st Half. Focus on slowing Chiefs running game. Saw stats, since the Mahomes INT in OT vs Bengals, Pat doesn't turn it over but he also isn't as lethal.

49ers defend the long game and trust our Offense. Shortening the game is to our advantage anyway. Then dial up the pressure down the stretch. Priority #1 is controlling the trenches.

Can SF49 contain Chiefs Run with 4 DL. That's the 1st big question of the chess match.

I was in 4th grade when we won in 1994

This is the most well rounded team since. There are obvious concerns- kicker, pass protection and yes our QB.

I still believe this 49ers team has another gear and Chiefs have reached their ceiling. We are more likely to have our best performance of the season AND lay an egg.

I don't remember the last time Vegas favored 1 team and all of media/analyst (and neutral fans) the other.

I would say your 2019 team was better, aside from QB.

2019 defense was definitely better. You could count on the 2019 49ers defense stopping a 3rd and 1, or 4th and 1 every single time... book it. Not the case this year. Running game was dominant but in the super bowl they decided to go away from the run with a double digit fourth quarter lead in typical Shanahan style.

    Better positions in 2019
    - CB Sherman
    - S Ward (biggest blunder in the game)
    - Kicker Gould
    - DC Saleh

    Probably LG Tomlinson

In 2019 the Niners had a better defense in general and better O-line, imho.

"The NFL hardness score for fields averages 78, with no field being less than 70. The 49ers field is considered in the 50s, sources told Schefter."

This SB has too many story lines

He is such a show. He's been getting thrown out of bars around here for years. What an embarrassment of a father

How Patrick turned out to be the guy he is today with the family cluster that surrounds him is almost as amazing as his football stats

Nervous? I'm in we will win homer mode. Once team reaches the SB, it's time for blind loyalty.

30 years. Best team since. Remach.

    All or nothing.

Watched the NFL network pregame hoopla. I like this aspect of the build up. Chiefs came out with Warchant and 49ers with Metallica "For whom the bell tolls"

Might be 70% 49ers fans. I felt the booing was overkill. We made our point but then allow the opponent to also enjoy the moment.

I must tip my cap to the Chiefs. This version is respectful & modest. They are a great representation of the sport to foreign audiences for example. Watching Andy Reid's media interview. He's a breathe of fresh air.

Nervous, but quietly confident. Think the game will come down to whether or not the Niners can stop the run.

Deeper I get into the matchup the more I think the Niners win by 10+ tbh. Biggest keys will be Bosa/Young and obviously Purdy.

Prediction - if Purdy rushes for more than 50 yards the Niners win.

I may be the only one, but I am not excited about this superbowl at all. I wanted some new blood in the championship. I realize that the best this year are in the game, but Im just sick of KC and also SF. One been to the last like 4 or 5 superbowls, the other has won 6 and been there like 8 times. I just have no interest at all. I will watch it, but when I have to take a shiat I will sit in the bathroom a bit longer than usual.
