of course it is. its not an advantage insofar as it is harder to back somebody further down, but in the low post height is obviously great because you can get clean turnaround shots, jump hooks, etc, over the defender without being too concerned with the contest.

Collins is the most useless player on this team, I don't care what anybody says and I still don't understand how this mother er is in the rotation.
Last game, he literally had the ball and then ran away from his own dribble and it just trickled out of bounds.
Just now, his defender literally just grabs the ball out of his hands and he just shrugs like "whoops, that sucks!"

also, keldon has to stop pump faking on threes. teams are daring him to shoot and not reacting to the shot fake. instead he just gives time for the closeout defender to recover and get balanced. he just needs to get the ball and immediately drive if his intention is to attack the rim

When Victor is on the floor, the Spurs are 6th in defensive rating.
When Victor is off the floor....dead ing last.
its his own stamina/conditioning at issue here. he starts getting gassed. he's said himself that the recent bump to ~32 minutes has been an adjustment for him.
He's played a normal rotation so far.
He is also nursing a sore shoulder which he hurt last game.
That's why height is big in the mid post and high post. The low-post, especially post iso's like we're talking about, height is not a benefit. Size is, of course. But a tall, skinny guy isn't going to win a lot of post battles against a shorter stocky defender.
Something like a duck-in would be a different story, but the Spurs don't do duck-ins nowadays.
I thought that Alex Sarr would be a bad choice but he would provide defense when Wemby goes to the bench, Collins just can’t.
Why is wemby taking stupid fadaway 3s when he can use his height playing low post and get to the line.

I think we know what Victor can do. They aren't winning anything now, every win gets the Spurs closer to having worse picks.
