They've benefitted from playing bottom dwellers for the most part since the ASB, but the Padres from the last few years have struggled to routinely beat the teams they're supposed to beat. They've also had to come from behind in a lot of their wins which just isn't sustainable, and their newly vaunted bullpen has been shaky outside Adam.

Come from behind repeatedly is a sign of character.
A very good sign.
They've beaten good teams on this run, but the Padres of the last few years did that too while getting blasted by ty teams (they're something like .200 against the Rockies the past few years ffs). Being able to come from behind is a good trait obviously, but having to do it over and over exhausts a team. They need some blowout victories to give their bullpen a rest especially with the lack of days off in the next month.

Gotta do it in the playoffs though. Anything else doesn’t matter.
Fatchada should not be their leader iota. And he is not.
However Tatis is coming back soon. That should help.

Matsui has no business being on an MLB roster but Mike Shildt uses him like an elite closer.

Meh, guess I'll have to go back to rooting for the Astros this playoffs. Last year was fun.
Hope the Tigers make the playoffs over the Royals.
FrostKing who's your team again? Dodgers?
Mike Shilt is such a horrible manager, my god.
