Fitting 35 years into a few suitcases is humbling. I posted my farewell on social media. I have a very strong group of buddies I met in grade school. Leaving each something dear to me.

Nowhere else I would have preferred to spend my childhood to 30s. The 90s in America. Glory Days.

Now it's time to switch gears. Returning to where I was born & almost all my family still lives. Took a couple years of planning. During that time we lost a couple close family members.

My decision is tied directly to family. It feels like a last call opportunity. Nothing political. San Diego is still gorgeous city and I wouldn't be leaving now without Dual Citizenship. There is no guarantee I'm making the right decision and or I'll be fully happy. But it will be a different lifestyle that I believe more aligns with my current age & what I want the next 35+ years. Better regret leaving than "What if..."

I've already lived in 3 nations. So doubt this is my final home. But next stop is my favorite city over the past 15 years. Long way from California.

obviously no one cares. It's sad that you have to do a forum and social media farewell tour like they don't have internet where you're pretending to be going.

Much good luck, Frosty. You're a fine fellow and you shall be missed. Take care making the trip across, keep a sharp eye out for the sharpies who will take advantage if you ain't aware at all times.

Think of us and I shall return that sentiment rest assured.

I care, Lue. He was good here, kept an open mind for the most part. He was nary ridged, nor mean spirited.

Thank you good sir. I'll still stop by, just odd hours.

They never send their best, people say, murderers and rapists, mark my words, Mexico will pay for it, repeal and replace, as there were some very fine people on both sides, so stand back and stand by.

He's not going to another planet. There are plenty posters from other countries. Maybe you can go with him, take all your white supremist ideology with you. They love it over there.

Thank you brothers. On my forum Starting Lineup, y'all are my running mates.

I recently reconnected with a forum I posted with going back to the ESPN sports boards. I'm not sure how I originally found Spurstalk but it became my adopted home. Fitting with this thread topic.

You already know that "black ideology" isn't about suppressing other races, but about pulling the black race up. White supremacy is about low education white incels role playing as Nazis.

Sold a bunch of furniture over the weekend. Sadness is setting in. Looking thru 20+ year old storage boxes. Fortunately have "hoarding" type of Buddies I can happily pass some of this off to. Selling alot on Ebay, OfferUp and Facebook Market.

I think I'm at the age limit of someone that can stomach this. Basically turning the page on half your life. Fortunately I have alot greeting me on the other end but damn this is emotional.

I got emotional moving out of one home to another home in San Antonio. I can only imagine.

FrostKing are you married, have kids? To me that would make the move even more difficult. If you are the lone ranger its a bit easier to restart IMHO. If you are single get you some of dat European "Fawtbox"

    Good luck my brutha!

No one needs to clean you, your irrational fear of being marginalized as a race cripples you.

I'm "single" in SoCal at 40. Few of my buddies in the same boat. I need to try something else.

My brother in laws Mother died last night with heart attack. This move took 2 years but this kinda stuff reiterates I'm making the right decision.

Amen to the bolded part. Best time/place to be alive.

Life is much simpler over here, apart from the migrant crisis in certain countries.

    Pros:

-Regardless of how high or low you are on the totem pole, you'll get more than 2 weeks off a year (). In America, you're either an unwitting slave working menial jobs or you are so successful that making money becomes a drug unto itself and you enslave yourself trying to hustle 24/7. Then your conversations with friends/family become all about money and the rat race and you find you're an empty vessel.

-The food (i mean your average, everyday groceries or middling cafes/restos) are 10x better than anything in the States. Markets with fresh goods, selections of cheeses and other products that aren't still in date 2 years later. You'd be surprised if most of the food you bought here would last even a week on your shelves.

-The women are women and behave like normal women. Not to say there aren't exceptions to every rule, but this isn't America where those exceptions are celebrated under forced normalization, lest you be fired or enroll in DEI courses. Germany, to be fair, is definitely fast-tracking some of the gayness but there's still plenty of pushback from the normal people so you have a few years still before you're inundated with the bull . The men are becoming poofs like the new age effeminate American male, but you see a drastic shift when you go East of Germany (Poland, Czechia, eastern european countries). In the latter areas, the male population becomes more like older generations in America. Stoic, hard-working, and not dumping their emotional baggage on friends and strangers, unsolicited. The women are women everywhere (at least from my experience). Proud, loyal, are more than capbable of self-sufficiency and independence but value relationships and the traditional roles of relationships.

-Families stick together. You actually know and speak with your neighbors.

-Although you won't come across any Jamals, Charvarius's, or Lil-Jordans out here, there are plenty of gypsies and unacclimated migrants that will give you a similar vibe. Luckily, no migrants around me but almost every city or town has a gypsy section/quarter. If you're looking at any of these cities/towns from satellite images, look for the neighborhood that resembles Grozny or Mariupol right after occupation and that will be your pikey quarter.

-Travel is exponentially cheaper because you're already in Europe. So many locations to see, enough to fill up half a lifetime. All a nice road trip or 1-1.5hr flight away for a fraction of what it would cost to visit these same locations in the States.

-No real tipping culture. As someone who would just automatically give 25% to everybody back in my teens and 20s, I realize how stupid that was now. Service sucks in the States, be it restaurants, car washes, tailor, barber, pretty much anything. Some crafty Jewish business owner back in the day found an ingenious way to place the wage obligation of their employees on the public/paying customer...and now that philosophy is on steroids in America. We tip people for putting food in bags, cutting our hair, or any other unworthy task that's already in their job description. Tipping should be a recognizance of exemplary service. In Europe, yes the tip rate is lower <10% most places, but people will go above and beyond when they get service in kind.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Cons:

-Your earning potential in the States is much, much higher depending on your job/skillset--but most importantly--work ethic. America is still the land of opportunity for those who want to get rich quick or put the time in. It's still a brutal, listless existence but I'll move back in a couple years to take care of aging family and whatnot. Europe is all about your days off, whereas America is all about days on. Not saying one way is the right/wrong way, but there's a lot less miserable faces wandering around the streets of this continent.

-Warm/room temp soda and beer. ING gross. Also, i'm not much of a soda drinker anymore but their carbonation is here. If you crack open a bottle (no matter the size), finish it that night or it will be flat the next day.

-Things move more slowly, so it can often take days or weeks to get certain things done (certain government services, etc.).

-Not every flat/house you'll buy/rent will have AC. Make sure you get that, the world ain't getting any cooler.

There's a bunch of both I'm missing, especially cons since I'm forgetting some due to bias. I'm happier though since I moved away from the States in 2014. Health, wealth and love have all improved drastically since changing continents, so I wish you more of the same.
