Mavs are being severely overlooked imho.

Luka's numbers always go up in the playoffs, and he made the WCF with a weaker supporting cast before, only losing to the champion Warriors.

Although Brunson is playing amazing. Kyrie is a proven playoff performer and has superior shot making ability in the clutch.

Whoever loses this series, with Dallas and LA, might have to blow it up.

    FINALS
    5 Mavs over 1 Celtics 4-3

Doncic quietly having one of the most dominant seasons in NBA history, Irving looking the best he has since 2016 and seeming focused on basketball for the first time in forever, and I love their deadline moves. Third best record in the league since the new year. Wasn't quite sure who I'd take between Dallas and Denver but I'm worried Murray might not be healthy with the nagging injuries he has dealt with so I went Dallas in the WCF.

The west should be really fun as it's the best conference I have ever seen. The east is going to suck with Giannis, Embiid, Haliburton, Anunoby, etc all dealing with injuries and Boston basically having a bye to the Finals.

Should be a good postseason. Still, if theres no injuries, Boston and Denver will be in the finals.

Mavs only have a shot if Kawhi will be injured, or 50%. Otherwise they'll be ed, as I don't see Luka and Kyrie playing in god mode for 4 games... Clippers also have a better bench and a healthy Kawhi is a big problem for any team, even tho he will probably get injured after the 1st round.

Not as confident in Nuggets (can fringe star Murray continue to morph into All-NBA caliber in playoffs and bench is terrible) as most and even less so in Celtics (same old issues of no MVP caliber player and in related note lack of elite playmaking).

Almost went Mavericks, but even if it's not what it used to be, not having homecourt in any round is tough to overcome.

Clippers and 76ers were other candidates, but health of best player (even though I suspect S bag is screwing around as usual), tough 1st round opponents and lack of homecourt are drawbacks.

listen we all know you are a lukastan, for all we know you are slohoopsfan on twitter. you go to absurd lengths to absolve luka of any blame

but this team is very good and well rounded. i wont say its a guaranteed win, because a healthy clippers team is very good too. but luka and kyrie dont have to go "god mode" for the mavs to win the series, even if kawhi is healthy and ready to go.

the big question to me is how effective can PJ washington be on kawhi. but just about anything is better than what the mavs threw at him in the past.

Pssssh sure looked like LakerRef stepped up and put a stop to a little momentum run by the Pelicans.

AD got his pushed in. Looked 100 clean and Pels would have breaked the other way.

Pelz at least put up a fight. Lakers just too much in the end. They are so good at generating those really really really light touch fouls. Those fouls that blur the lines between a slight touch and zero contact at all.
