Feels like people have said this every year for decades, but the officiating is getting so bad it’s damaging the credibility of the sport. I’ve never seen it this bad before.
I know we laugh at how awful the Joey Crawford/Duncan tech on the bench was, but in today’s NBA Joey Crawford would be one of the more thick-skinned, reasonable refs out there. That’s how bad it’s gotten.

The WCF will likely feature 2 of the lowest markets teams in the league. In the East, you have the nondescript Pacers and Cavs, the big market Knicks who’ve been a punchline since the Towers were still standing, and one legacy franchise chasing history.

I don’t think there’s any Donaghy’s in this bunch, just a poor class of officials. The game is harder to officiate now though, too.
